Shots in a baby's arm??? - Anyone ever heard of this??

My2Beauties wrote: OK yesterday for Hanna's one year shots they gave her one in each arm and one in her leg. The doctor said these are the only shots they give in the arm. Today she is so sore, the sitter said she screams everytime you try to pick her up. I told her to give her some Tylenol but now I am worried and angry because some of the other moms that I work with said their children never got shots in their arms until they were older, like 4 or 5 and all their baby shots were always in their leg. Please let me know if anyone else's child received their 1-yr shots in the arm?

Boys r us replied: Weird, Braedon nor Tanner EVER had any of their shots in their arm!

kimberley replied: jade got the 1yr MMR shot in the arm. it didn't bother her any more than the previous shots in the legs. poor Hanna. hope the tylenol helps.

ediep replied: yes, I remember Jason getting shots in the arm and leg at one appointment. Definately give her tylenol, it should help

coasterqueen replied: Wow I don't even remember if Kylie got a shot in her arm or not. But I always nursed her through the shots so she never cried.

ctymom replied: Erica had a shot in the forearm. Not really a shot, but wehre the needle went just under the arm. It was a TB test I believe. My other kids got that thing with the 3 little needles that just prick your skin. Erica was PISSED about her shots for 1 year. Mad does NOT describe it.... she was pissed beyond words and screamed like all hell broke loose.

He also drew blood from her foot and she had a shot in each leg. It really really sucked.

Excuse my choice of words here... lol No other way to describe it.
