Shopping - Putting things away
CantWait wrote: Ok so I have to say, even though it would bug me if I were working in a department store and people didn't put things away, I still do it. The only time I make a conservative effort to put it back is if it's cold or frozen food and it will spoil otherwise.
my2monkeyboys replied: same here. or if I'm really close to where I got it from I will. If I'm on the other side of the store though I just put it somewhere. I should probably feel guilty, but....
mckayleesmom replied: I will if I decide I don't want it, but usually when I get to the checkout I discover tons of stuff Mckaylee threw in the cart....So I will put it right there at the checkout.
mammag replied: If I'm close to the area at all I will take it back. DH never does though.
Jackie012007 replied: we both take the long walk back to put stuff back that we decide we don't want... probably because we have both wroked as cashiers and it's a total pain in the butt to be zoning an area and find stuff that doesn't belong there!
C&K*s Mommie replied: I will if I am near that area, or if I have time to take it back. I try to take stock of what I have before I get in line to check out, and if I see something then, then I will decide then and there to make the trek back.
kimberley replied: i do
luvbug00 replied: I'm too lazy to walk it back.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Me too, but not always right where it belongs If its a book that I picked out for alex to look at while we shop and I dont plan on buying it I just put it wherever...same with clothes I decide I dont really need/want
MommyToAshley replied: If I am still shopping and decide I don't want sometime, I usually put it back where it goes. If I am at the check-out, I just hand it to the cashier and they usually put it in the returns basket.
I have to admit, DH is better about it than I am. Although I have gotten better.
amymom replied: I almost always put it back or send one of the kids to (If they are with me) The only time I do not is if I am at the checkout and for somereason can not take the item, then I will let the cashier do it.
Jackie012007 replied: you're all naughty, naughty ladies!!!
mummy2girls replied: i usually dont i dont know why .. laziness i guess! LOL
My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm a stocker's worst nightmare. I constantly occupy the kids with things I have no intention on buying...and I never put them back in the right place.
The only thing I am careful about is cold/frozen foods - and then I make sure they get back in the right temp., but not the right section.
holley79 replied: I use to do merchandising and it use to tick me off to find things on my set that didn't belong. Well lo and behold one I was a mom, I started doing it also. If it was a fridge item though I would take it back.
Nina J replied: Sometimes. If I'm in the same aisle as the thing I don't want, I'll put it back. But if I'm not, I just put it on the shelf closest to me. Someone at our local supermarket probably found a tin of crushed pinapple next to the cat food the other day
martzfam27 replied: Im to lazy to walk back but if Im close enough I'll out it back where it belongs.
