Shopping!

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: When is the last time you went shopping for yourself? What did you buy?

And I don't mean something that you HAD to buy...I mean something that you WANTED, and that you treated yourself with.

I bought myself a pair of knee hign lace up boots with a zipper on the inside... they are too small... but I've always wanted a pair...

(DH calls em my skank boots... rolleyes.gif )

So I have this pair of boots that I've never worn, they fit on my feet but my calves are too big. dry.gif

Did I mention that I bought them in December? lol!

I have a pair of those. Mine have big clunky heels. I love to wear them with wide leg jeans. DH isn't too fond of them, says I look like a tiny boper in them.

I bought a pair of tan sandals that strap across the foot with really high cork heels. I love them. They look great with sun dresses and long skirts. I bought them for myself for Mother's Day. I have never spent $30 on a pair of sandals before. LOL

In fact I wore them to work today. Everyone loves them. New shoes always makes me feel good.

maliksmommy replied: I actually just went shopping for myself this Sat. Me and my sister went to Lerner. I had these coupons for $15 off for every $30 I spent. I got 5 new shirts and some capris for only $50. I swear I don't know what i would do without Lerner. They need to hire me as a walking billboard biggrin.gif

supermom replied: It's been a long time - with 4 kids always needing something and being self-employed, there isn't much extra for goodies, but it was last year for my birthday I had gotten some money, and I spent it on one of those wood-burning "fireplaces" for the patio (I'm the only one who really likes to sit out there that late at night).....I hate buying clothes or shoes, I am very picky!

KatieLeigh79 replied: Trying to save money i used my rolled change (i do pretty good with everything Dh leaves laying around $117.00 last time!) and bought myself a new thing of bright pink nailpolish a few weeks back- now i just have to figure out how to reach my toes! (at the dollar store none the less tongue.gif) Thats the last thing i can remember buying myself since ? Probably back last summer when i actually used the ATM card and took out $30 at the mall to buy lunch for myself *laugh*

CantWait replied: Well seeing on how the last 7 months have been all about getting stuff for the baby and my son's new room, I haven't spent anything on me except for maternity clothes and jogging pants and such.

I'd have to say not quite a year ago, I bought clothes.

We just went out yesterday though and bought a table and chair set for the kitchen since the old dining room is now my son's new room.

MommyToAshley replied: hmmm... .the last time I bought something for myself....I can't remember. I guess it would have to be when I bought maternity clothes. LOL. But, it is sooooo much more fun buying for Ashley than myself!! Besides, I refuse to buy any clothes until I lose some of this baby fat. smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: well nothing I have not bought myself anything just cause I wanted it. It was always cause I needed it. My DH's mother and grandmother bought almost all of my maternity clothes. I still have money from christmas for me to spend on me, just dont knwo what I want to buy! Let the ideas flo............

and Im with Dee Dee is so much more fun shopping for my little one than me! wub.gif

ashade75 replied: I was feeling depressed today so I decided I am going to treat myself.

After work I have a hair and nail appointment ( I havent had my nails done since DeeDee's Wedding!!) and then I am going tanning while DH stays home and babysits.

Kaitlin'smom replied:

here is some happy vibes to lift your spirit! smile.gif

humm there is some ideas going to the salon, maybe I will get a massage

ashade75 replied:
thanks!! smile.gif

Massage does sound good. I have a gift certificate to O'neys that I have never used. Have you ever been there?

Kaitlin'smom replied: actually I have not been there (however I do know the owner) I have friend who have been there and they like it. Hope you enjoy it!

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley and I went to the store today... just to get out of the house! Sometimes when you work at home, you get tired of being home. haha. Well, it started to rain, so we decided that she needed a few new hats. LOL. Like I said, it is sooo much more fun to buy for her! She looks soo cute in them! smile.gif wub.gif wub.gif

ashade75 replied:
Im sure Ashley coaxed you into it. LOL

dhoppygirl replied: Hmmm..the last thing I purchased was a $30 haircut (I usually go to the $10 hair places) and that was 5 months ago. I finally have another hair appointment on Friday. Does that count?? We are on a really tight budget being on a single income, so we have been trying to not buy anything for a few months! (Although, DH did buy me a certificate for a massage last month out of the blue...very sweet, and it was my first professional massage! It was awesome!) biggrin.gif

ashade75 replied:
By the way, Love Ashley's new hat. Too cute!!!

Heather replied: I never ever buy myself something...UNTIL Last week!! I dropped my camera and WELL it died! So I bought myself a new one! I LOVE IT! Today I am going shopping for some new clothes. I have not shopped for clothes since before Ali came so I am definitely going out. I am in need of it...I am to the point where I just wear sweats all day...UGH I am sick of it...Can't do it anymore

ashade75 replied:
Good for YOU!

Every mother should treat themselves to something nice at least once a month. It doesn't have to be expensive. It makes you feel good.

Kaitlin'smom replied: allright I will have to go shoppin gfor me this weekend, dunno what I want, but I am sure I can find something! I hope! Well if I cant I will get a massage...............
