She is burning up. We are off to the ped
kit_kats_mom wrote: We have to go to the after hours ped. Luckily, her regular ped is working there tonight so this will be the 7th time I've seen him in 3 weeks.
I just took K's temp under her arm and it's 102.5 That's high and I'm not one to freak about temps but since she still can't keep water or tylenol down for more than an hour, they want us to bring her in. She's been really lethargic since her nap too.
I'm sure that the ped won't tell us anything but I"ll update if there's any news.

jcc64 replied: Oh man, Cary, I'm having bad deja vu from that time Corey had that bad stomach virus. It's pretty scary when they can't keep the meds/fluids down. The dr did tell you to only give her small sips of fluids at a time, right? Are ice pops any help? 102.5 is not so very high, even under the armpit. And really, the tylenol isn't killing the infection, it's just making her more comfy. So don't feel desperate if she can't keep it down(My kids have gone well over 105, if you can believe that). Have you tried a lukewarm bath in the meantime? I'm sorry she's sick, Cary. It's like you said, one chink in the armour, and everything just falls apart. I'm pulling for you.
kit_kats_mom replied: We are back. She is mildly dehydrated but she's got her groove back. The child who ate exactly half of a grilled cheese sandwich and two cubes of watermelon yesterday has now eaten two small bowls of chocolate ice cream and is currently chomping on chicken nuggets. The doc gave me a phenegran suppository to use if the vomiting comes back because she's just dehydrated enough to go over to the bad side if she has one more bout of vomiting or dirreaha. Anyway, she's driving us nuts with all of the words she didn't say earlier in the day when she was feverish and lethargic. I swear she hasn't quit talking since 8. lol
TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh I am glad she is better.. did they give Mom some energy too!
I am glad the barf monster is GONE!
Bye Bye stupid Barf Monster
jcc64 replied: That's good news, Cary. My brother always tells me to pay more attention to the child than the numbers on the thermometer. Sounds like she's more herself with all the gabbing. Nagging Italian mommy here- don't let her overeat- let her eat tiny meals spaced out until you know it's staying down. Here's hoping the barfy monster slinks back into his evil lair.
kit_kats_mom replied: Thanks Jeanne. I don't really worry with fevers usually. But the lethargy combined with her being such a toasty little biscut kinda freaked me out.
ediep replied: wow! How scary!!
I am glad she is feeling better, hope the barf is gone!
six_kids_at_28 replied: Great news

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Glad she is doing better!!!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I am glad she is feeling better.
MommyToAshley replied: Glad she is doing better, I would have been a little freaked and taken her to the ped too. What did the doc say?
K sure is a trooper, I hope she is back to her old self in no time!
