Shampoo

Boys r us wrote: What kind do you use?

I'm lucky..my MIL owns a salon/day spa so she ALWAYS hooks me up with the latest and best shampoo! Right now I'm using one called Halo...it's a volumizing one and I love love love it!

gr33n3y3z replied: Aveda Shampure & Cond.

3_call_me_mama replied: I use l'oreal VIVE.... a 2 in one for fine hair.... i love it cause i actually feel like i have something there after smile.gif

mammag replied: I just use Aussie products. I've used the more expensive and couldn't tell a difference except for scent.

coasterqueen replied:
thumb.gif Same here. I used to use Biolage products but actually White Rain (or one of those elcheapo's makes one just like Biolage and it did the same on my hair so I switched to the elcheapo. tongue.gif

But for the last few months I've actually been using Gardier Fruitrese, I think it's called. It's a bright lima green looking bottle. It's done well on my hair.

I tried Dove shampoo at my girlfriend's one time and LOVED it so I might try that soon.

5littleladies replied: Dove is my favorite-hands down, but my hair does really well with whatever I use so I've been using elcheapo Suave. blush.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I use Dove and I like it, but I loooove Bumble and Bumble. My hair is really picky and it's by far the best stuff I've ever used. thumb.gif If I had money I'd still be using it. dry.gif

A&A'smommy replied: garnier fructis it smells SO good and it makes my hair SO soft and shinny and less frizzy

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: OMG I think I've tried them all....right now I'm using the Neutrogena kind. Also the Brunette kind too..not sure who makes it. I used to use Aveda, but too expensive for me! ohmy.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Suave! That was the elcheapo brand I was thinking of not White Rain. tongue.gif We use Sauve here too. I honestly don't see much of a difference at all in shampoos and what they do to our family hair. I just switch brands every once in awhile when I get bored. biggrin.gif

mammag replied: I actually heard that there is no difference in shampoos. I think it was from Andy Paige (Starting Over). She said to buy the cheap shampoos and spend a little extra on conditioners. dunno.gif

jcc64 replied: I have also seen countless "exposes" about the similiarities between expensive and budget shampoos. However, in my case, I absolutely notice a difference. We have very hard well water with lots of minerals in it, which does not do nice things for the hair. I use some sort of expensive shampoo given to me by my stylists, have no idea what it's called b/c the label's in French. But it does work, and I don't mind the cost, b/c it takes me almost a year to go through it.

Mommy2BAK replied: My hair stylist always tries to get me to buy that expensive stuff from her dry.gif , and I have a few times but honestly I like the cheap shampoo's better. I used to always use Pantene Pro-V, but right now I am using Dove, and I love it!

Boys r us replied: Tamara, Pantene is BAD BAD BAD for your hair!!!!! It has the same ingerdient in it that makes floor wax work!

But I have very fine hair and I can DEFINITELY tell a difference when I use the right shampoo! We also have hard water and even though we have a water softener, it still is rough on my hair!

MommyToAshley replied: I like Biolage products. thumb.gif

lisar replied: I use finesse 2 in 1. Have for a long time and I love it.

Lisa

Mommy2BAK replied:
huh.gif wacko.gif hmm... I have never heard that. But I have heard that Garnier Fructice makes your hair fall out.

My2Beauties replied:
Really blink.gif I use Pantene and it does better than any other brand! Oh no I don't want my hair being washed with floor wax blink.gif

3xsthefun replied: I use Tresemme. I want to try Dove after I run out of the Tresemme.

I wondered why I never really liked Pantene it always dried out my hair. Now I know why I don't care for it to much. I do use some of there products the stuff for frizzy hair, but now I will not use any of them.

Jamielou replied: I use the cheap stuff suave it works better than the expensive stuff.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Well now I can say I'm using Bumble and bumble again, thanks to my Dh! biggrin.gif wub.gif I absolutely love this stuff. I have fine hair that damages and gets dried out easily and I definitely notice a difference between different brands - not necessarily between cheap and expensive though ~ I've tried practically every brand they sell at Target, and lots of different kinds they sell in salons and the only kinds I've ever been really happy with are Dove and bumble and bumble. wink.gif

aricka replied: Right now I am using John Freda(sp) blonde shampoo (I have blonde highlights) anyways I am going this weekend to get a Malibu treatment and will probably start using that... cool.gif

uwishucudfly replied:
I also use Bumble and Bumble.....but I get so bored of shampoo and conditioner that I switch every single time I run out of the old stuff. I generally keep Frederick Fekkai, Bumble and Bumble, Rusk, and Therma Silk in the rotation.

mama3x replied: Right now I am using White Rain for chemically treated hair. My absolute fave is Herbal Essences and I want to try Garnier Fructis but since we have no $$$, I get what's on sale for 99cents.

JAYMESMOM replied: I love dove but when I want a new smell I use my kids shampoo so I smell fruity or bubble gummy. LOL.

I will use white rain if I am out of dove. I just have to make sure I use a good conditioner and with anything but dove I have to use a seperate conditioner and that takes up more time.

mom2tripp replied:
I use John Freda blonde too but when I got highlights last time my hairdresser told me not to use it everyday bc it can actually strip the highlights right out of your hair, she suggested using it every other day

aricka replied: Wow, I wish I had known that, my highlights actually faded about 2 weeks after I got them (don't know if that's normal) so I thought I should use more of that shampoo, I am glad you told me this.....So then what good is that shampoo?
