Scary Beginning....Happy Ending

Tarrah wrote: My chaos started Thursday morning. I was having contractions avery 5 min but they were not painful. The hospital said to go ahead an wait until I was uncomfortable so that the process would not seem so long. I callled my dr and they wanted me to go get checked out at L&D. I went with my mom, Danny was at work. When I got there, I was a fingertip dialated and the contractions completely stopped. They hooked me up to the moniter and was montoering the both of us. Well all of a sudden the baby flatlined. In a matter of 1 minute I had every nurse in my room , they rotated me head down, threw an IV in my arm, stuck me on oxygen and my dr called becasue he was monitering from his office. They prepped me for a C-section and all of a sudden we found his heart rate again. We called my husband and told him to get there just in case. He got there and we were trying to explain the chaos that just had occured. When it happened all over again. All the nurses, phones ringing, they told me to get on my hands and knees so they could try to find the baby agian and still NOTHING. They threw me on a strecher, flew me to the OR with a quickness, gave me an epidural and had him out 10 minutes later. The poor little guy had the cord wrapped around his neck 3 times and was in face up presentation. It took them a while to get him breathing again which freaked me out. My story ends happy though. He is very healthy. Jackson was 6lbs 10oz and 22 in long. Never had to go to NICU and was with me the whoel time. We were released today. He is sooooooooo special. I fell like he is magnificant gift from god.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Wow... that must have been scary!!

I'm surprised that he didn't have to stay in the NICU though... especially with all that happened! Tough little guy!
