Scared Mommy - LeeAnn went to the hospital
LeesAnn'smommy wrote: Hello all. Well i had the scarest weekend of my life. On thrusday i called LeeAnn's ped because she had be coughing so bad wed. night. My husband got up and went and got her cough med. and i gave her a little bit to help. She slept good the rest of the night. I called her ped to find out for sure how much i should give her and they asked what was going on and i told them and they wanted to see her. Our appointment was at 1050 and we didn't get out of there until 1230. They had to give her a breathing treatment and kept checking her o2 to make sure it was good. It was at 92% and then after her treatment it went up to 94. They sent us home and had me get her a nebulizer for home to do treatments at home and oraphed. So we did that. The pharmcist made it sound like she really had to eat to take this med. So we she didn't eat i called to find out what i sound do. Give her the meds or not. They could hear her and they wanted to see her again. I told them she just had a treatment and wasn't sounding like it helped at all. So we went back and they had to put her in the hospital. She ended up having pnemoiua and was completely dehydrated. We just got home today and she is doing alot better. She had to have oxgyen at night and Iv for 2 1/2 days. It was very uspseting to see her like that.

Daniel just finished inhaler treatments and doses of Orapred. It is the most scary experience to watch your child struggle to breathe. I can't imagine being in the situation where the treatment isn't working. You've been through the wringer and I feel for you. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
