Sad to report....

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: For those of you who remember our move to Joliette (near Montreal) last year in order to work for the old age homes belonging to DH's Godmother... I'm sad to report that she was found dead this morning, at her summer home (cottage).

She was DH's mom's sister, she was 51 years old, and will be greatly missed.

No. She'd been complaining of stomach pains since Tuesday... but she'd just gotten back from Paris (France) on Sunday, so they thought maybe it was somehting she ate or drank while on vacation... last night, her SO went out with Sylvie's son-on-law...and he decided to sleep at their house in stead of driving the 25 minutes to their summer home, since he'd drank a little... the next morning when he didn't hear from her he drove out to the summer home with the financial director of the old age home, and they found her dead in the hot tub. They think maybe she fell unconscious and drowned... else had an aneurysm.

I personally think it was appendicitis. She was a tough cookie... she likely wouldn't have bothered to get the pain checked out until it was absolutely unbearable.

Crystalina replied: How horrible. Her poor SO to find her! He will never forget that. Do you know if she could have been drinking before or while she was in the hot tub? I know that alcohol and hot tubs don't go together for that reason. I hope they can figure out what happend to her. I'm sorry for your loss.

No we don't know. It's all speculation at this point... until they do the autopsy. Like I said before - she had stomach pains since Tuesday... but she's not the type that drinks alone.
