Sad and not in the mood for the holidays

Sarah&Mackenzie wrote: Last night we had our 16 year old dog put to sleep. I can't stop thinking about it and have fallen into the "I don't care" mood. I am not even looking foward to Thanksgiving. bawling.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied: So sorry Sarah! hug.gif There seems to be a rash of losing beloved pets all of a sudden. bawling.gif We put our 22 month old dog to sleep on Nov 13 because of a seizure disorder and I'm having trouble managing on some days, too. We still have our ailing 14 yr old dog so I'm hoping he lasts til Christmas. It is getting better a little every day. I've gone from crying all day to crying a couple times a day. Olivia and I are compiling a memory book for him and writing down our favorite stories, memories, etc and that has helped, too. Sometimes it is hard for those who don't share their lives with pets to understand that losing one is a deep loss and takes plenty of time to get over. Here's hoping your heart feels a little better every day!!

amymom replied: I am sorry

jem0622 replied: I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. :-(
