SO BORED!!!!!!
PrairieMom wrote: Someone shoot me and put me out of my misery! Last night I went out on a date with DH and ended up having contractions every 3 minutes all the way through dinner. The only way I could keep him from dragging me into the Dr's office was to promise that today I would sit on the couch and not do a single thing. Well, on the bright side, I haven't had nearly as many contractions tonight, which is good, but I hope that DH doesn't think that I'm gonna just sit around on the couch like this for the next 12 weeks. I AM SO BORED! and if I have to watch another Disney movie, I'm gonna loose my ever loving mind. Ugh. First it was beauty and the beast, then Peter pan, then dumbo, now its alladin.
I was on Terbutaline for preterm labor with both Al and Ben, I suppose its just a matter of time before I am on it again for this one. I don't want to be on it for 12 whole weeks tho. Ugh.
amymom replied: Well that was a hot date... NOT!
Keep drinking to stay hydrated and keep those feet up for awhile. It will get better. At least you have us and facebook!
PrairieMom replied: I know. LOL. I started having contractions the minute we got in the car. Nothing like hearing " another one? how long was it? " through an entire meal.
MommyToAshley replied: Grab a good book, curl up, and sit on that couch.
boyohboyohboy replied: How about knitting a baby blanket? or making Al some doll clothes? something you can do sitting and relaxing?
PrairieMom replied: I have a cross stitch blanket that I am working on, but MAN your butt goes numb from sitting so long. I just felt so lazy. and doing nothing sure is tiring! I am totally not doing any sort of bed rest until I absolutely no other choice.
boyohboyohboy replied: ok, how about VBS planning, its almost time to start thinking about that!
PrairieMom replied: Oh, don't EVEN!! LOL. I backed out of this year. To much going on with a new born. Our VBS will be in July, so Baby will only be a few months old. I'm not trying to VBS prep with a new born. No way!
boyohboyohboy replied: Tara, I am running out of ideas here! Do you have a name for the baby yet, how about a baby name book, with your feet up and some hot coco!
PrairieMom replied: I have been up and moving today and had to sit down for a while this afternoon because I started contracting again. My appt isn't until 2-18, chances of me having to go in extra seem pretty good. I really don't want to get checked, but Dh will be dragging me in there by my hair before to long. I have quite a way to go on my cross stitch blanket, so that will keep me busy for a while. Then I will have to search for something else. Baby's dresser needs detail painting, I can do that while sitting. I could make booties to go with the blanket I crocheted. Hopefully things will calm down a bit.
We have pretty much settled on Charles Joesph, But will call him Charlie. The kids picked out Charlie after watching Christmas specials this year, and Joseph after DH. he is a great man, and really deserves to have someone named after him.
My sister has taken to calling him Charlie Bucket.
boyohboyohboy replied: Tributeline sucks tara! I hope you dont have to go on that any time soon. I had to take it with caleb. Maybe you could just lay down and nap with Al, does she still nap? Just a little break?
praying for no meds this time around!
coasterqueen replied: Look at it this way, at least you aren't on doctor prescribed bed rest That sucks worse, because you can't do ANYTHING, can't help out with your children, nothing. Take it easy as much as you can!
Mommy2Isabella replied: I know how you are feeling, I got put on bed rest at 28 weeks, but was on Modified bed rest starting at like 14 ... LOL!!
Hoping you don't have to go on full out bed rest ... that really is boring ...
PrairieMom replied: no doubt. BUT, my Dr isn't here in the house staring at me either. I was really hoping that it wouldn't work so I could get a huge " told ya so" in, but... Oh well. I will just have to take it easier than I was, which, really is going to be hard, because I don't feel like I do all that much.
bluebear replied: I love that name!!
kimberley replied: Charlie is cute!
sorry ur date sucked. i've been having cx too but with 4 kids and work, i enjoy the rest. get a new book
luvmykids replied: Well, I for one am glad to hear you are sitting around a little. I don't feel like such a slacker after your fb updates these last two days
But I do understand, I was on bed rest when I was pg with the twins for 16 weeks...and had to do the stupid belly monitor that measured/transmitted my contractions to the nurses. If I didn't do it, they'd call. If I had more than a certain number, they'd call. Ugh. I always told them I'd be getting more bedrest if they'd quit calling and making me get up to answer the phone
