Russell is driving us bonkers - SCREAMING

mckayleesmom wrote: He doesn't talk, but he screams about everything..

He wants something....Screams
He doesn't want something...Screams
Bored...Screams
Mckaylee walks towards him...Screams
Doesn't get his way...Screams...and stomps his feet at me.
Wants food...Screams
If I don't pick him up...Screams

What can I do about all this screaming? Its making life insane. Yesterday Leithan went upstairs and closed the bedroom door to get some peace and quiet.

KingMom replied: I am having the same problem with Colin. That's all we hear, he even does the foot stomping if he doesn't get his way or whatever he wants.

Advice please!

mckayleesmom replied:
LOL.....Russell looks more like hes auditioning to be one of those River Dancers when he stomps his feet.

C&K*s Mommie replied: No advice.... lots of hugs though for your sanity. hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I dont have any advice either...I'm sure you have tried just about everything to get him to "talk" to you in other ways besides screaming!

BAC'sMom replied: Welcome to the terrible 2’s! Little boy style!

Hes only 1 laugh.gif

BAC'sMom replied: OK he's an early bloomer! Both my started "Screaming" way before they were 2.

DVFlyer replied: Yup, another screamer here.

If I get a card from the kids to Michelle, I sign "AHHHHHHHH" for Keian.

Brias3 replied: Mason was and still is a screamer at times and I just do the "shhhhhhhh" reminder. When Aliyah was younger, she was a horrible screamer when not getting her way. I finally resorted to literally not responding to her until she quieted down with the requests or tried to use words to convey her point. Since I believe you mentioned once Russell doesn't speak much yet, I'd probably just recommend ignoring it when able to (like when he gets mad you're talking to McKaylee) and saying, "shhhhhh....indoor voice....point to what you want" or something along those lines that he can understand.

Good luck!

youngmomofone replied: Dd still does that crap and she's 3.

redchief replied: Brianne, I don't know what to tell you. He's too young to ignore it. If it helps, John did that too and he stopped as he began getting better at communication. hug.gif hug.gif
