Romance - and our dh's

But maybe the most romantic he's done is...he bought me roses on my birthday and mother's day.....?

He's not the romantic type..he likes to thin khe is..but he's not. I bought solme romantic games, some oils, some candles, nice music, great food, scented fake rose petals..the works...and he's never even TOUCHED them. It's all in one big red box marked - LOVE BOX - FEEL FREE TO EXPLORE ANYTIME!!! And it's at the foot of our bed... he just doens't have any interest... so hey... he brings me a milkshake from work now and then, so it makes up for it... heh heh

jdkjd replied: He's pretty good. Takes me to nice restaurants on special occasions. If he is feeling randy and really wants to get me in the mood, he'll give me a full body kiss and rubdown.

MomToMany replied: DH isn't what I'd call "romantic", but he does bring me roses quite frequently out of the blue , so at least he tries! As for anything else, he doesn't understand, I guess, or something because there isn't anything else!

supermom replied: Man, I guess I am just lucky - he's so romantic...flowers, wine (well, not now but before and after) - wonderful massages, and other unmentionables......teehee......we've got the games and stuff too but we don't really need them? We do for fun every once in a while, but don't have to.....

Kaitlin'smom replied: humm well he used to bring me flowers but with 3 cats I cant put them out or they will get destroyed, not to mention 1 cat posiened herself on some once. So no more but on very special occasions.

I guess It would have to be the friday morning last year in september he called me at work and siad lets go to FL for the labor day weekend. I said your nuts he said come on lets do it I found some good fight rates, so I called the car rental people I know and got a great rate (vip-rates ) got a hotel at a good rate and off the next morning we went! I loved it, we had never done anything like that before it was so fun and he finally got to see white sand and the sunset on the beach.

mckayleesmom replied: I guess Im lucky too, my husband always gives me full body oil massages, he has bought me stuff for no reasons. I came into the living room once and there was a big bear with a velvet box and inside were sapphire earings. When we were apart cause he is in the army and moved up here so I could finish my work In Illinois he would send me gifts from Red Envelope, its a gift site that has gifts for women designed by women, so he really couldn't go wrong, and of course stuff from Victorias Secret. But overall the most romantic thing he did for me was right after I misscarried our first baby, He sent me 3 boxes from Red Envelope and told me not to open them until he got there,,when he arrived a day later, he packed the boxes in my trunk and he took me to this really fancy Hotel in Iowa that is built like a castle. The first night there I told him that I was going to go take a shower, well he told me to hold on cause he had to go to the bathroom. SO I waited and waited and waited thinking Man he really had to go. Well he finally came out and led me into the bathroom, there was candles all over the bathroom, including one I had wanted forever from that red envelope company that had a floating lilac in it, the bathtub was full of Rose pedals and floating rose candles, then he undressed me and I got in, he poured in this rose scented bath salts. Then he washed my hair and stuff, it was so cute. Well I thought that was all sweet of him,,but there was more. When I got out he blindfolded me and then tied me up (I can't believe Im telling you guys that...lol), then he took a feather and ran it all over my body and massaged my head with this head massager thing (again from red envelope) and that thing is awsome. Then the rest of the 3 days was about nothing but me. When I told a co-worker at work about my weekend, and what was in the boxes, (cause she was waiting to find out what was in them) and what he did,,she told me to marry him, and marry him now,,,so I did.


Tell your husbands to go to that site, its www.redenvelope.com,,,,,women designed the gifts so men can't screw it up,,,,lol

mckayleesmom replied: lol,,,Kaitlin, that reminds me, everytime he sent me flowers from red envelope my cat would think they were her present too,,she would rub up against them and love them,,then they would start to die and it was snack time..lol

The thing that really got me though was way back when we were dating. We had been dating about 3 months and he made me a "mix cd" of songs that reminded him of me. Then he'd put it on, light some candles and we'd dance (or do other things ) while he sang to me. Mind you, he doesn't sing that well so I think it was the fact that he was being so veunerable & had really put some thought into it, was what really got me. The cd has some super cheesy songs...sade, phil collens, van morrison, chicago etc. I still have it and it is now our cue that one of us wants to get some. LOL

mckayleesmom replied: lol lol,,,Im so serious,,,,its called The Tingler, which doesn't make it sound any better...lol...but it looks like an egg beater so its not a massager that you have to guess where it goes or does....lol,,,you can look at it at www.redbook.com under massaging stuff....you should get one, they are awsome.

CantWait replied: I remember one night coming home from a staff party (he asked me to be home early). There was a note on the outside door. It said not to turn on the lights and to come in. When I came in there was a soft cd playing and another note on the next door that was closed, it said to go upstairs and get changed into what was in the box. When I opened up the inside door there was candles everywhere. I went upstairs and opened the box to find a really sexy lingerai (sp???) outfit, it was a see through halter top and pants. When I was done dressing, he had timed it perfect he was on his way upstairs with a bottle of champagne and a couple glasses. He was dressed in the suit that he had gone to my formal in. We went downstairs and he asked me to dance. So we did that for what seems like forever. Later on we started getting funky downstairs but then carried on upstairs where he tied me up and did unmentionable things for hours. It was truly an amazing night.

CantWait replied: ohohoh I have to add that he did today. It's not romantic, but it's really sweet and it shows that he put a lot of thought into his gift.

Whenever dh goes away he always tries to find me some kind of gift that is unique and you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. When he went to Bosnia, he got me a puzzle box, in order to open it, you have take it apart and find the key to unlock it. Today he brought me home a family ring, it's shaped like a broken heart and inside the heart is mine and his birthstone, and the outside of each piece of heart is my son's and the baby's birthstone. I was so touched he put so much thought into it ....it made me cry
