Really disappointed in Oriental Trading right now

Our Lil' Family wrote: I ordered Thomas' birthday party supplies, including invitations, on 2/26 thinking it would be here around the 7th or so, I need to send out the invitations by the 11th.....I STILL don't have it! The estimated arrival date was 3/10 for a while, which was perfect, but now it's changed to 3/14! His party is the 31st and I am very particular about when invitations go out. I wanted them out now but would settle for Monday. It even says that that package is in my town, it's not a huge city! Why would it take almost a week to get to me if it's here?

If I don't get it today I'll probably send an email to the parents to let them know that the invite is coming it'll just be later than normal. Anyone else have this problem with their shipping?

luvmykids replied: I haven't used them before, I'm sorry they're causing you grief! Can you call the shipper and find out what the hold up is? I know a few times with FedEx for some reason I had to go pick up a package.

Funny you say that Monica....it is FedEx! I think I'll call someone to see if I can pick it up.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: That bites! I have not had trouble with OTC before but I have with Fed-ex especially if it is just shipped ground-no special delivery orders They seem to put those on hold if they get alot of overnight or 2 day stuff to process. I hope they get there soon!!

lisar replied: If the package is in your city you could call UPS or Fedex and schedule for you to go and pick it up. I done that once when I really wanted something.

Our Lil' Family replied: Ok, I called OT and they told me to call the Post Office which is who has it. I called and the VERY nice old man told me that it's scheduled for delivery today or tomorrow!!! WHOO HOO! Now I can stop fretting over the invitations!

redplaydoh replied: Glad you'll be getting them, I know with previous shipping experiences when it says it's in your town you usually get it within a day or two even if the shipping says 1 week.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have never had a problem with them, deffinalty sounded more like a problem with the delevery than anything which is why for things like that I will ship them to work and alert my mailman, if he finds it he will get it to me ASAP even if he has finished his route he will bring it back. Glad you will have them soon.
