holley79 replied: The answer to my own questions....

I am lucky to be able to finish a book in a month and that is doing good.

I use to read at least two books a week.

I am currently reading "Fatal Burn" by Lisa Jackson

I just finished Memories in Death by JD Robb.

Halo42101 replied: I am reading 2. Daily Insperation For The Purpose Driven Life. And, Look Great, Feel Great, by Joyce Meyer.
I hope you can find time to read more books, Holley, but I understand since you have a little one now. hug.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: How many books a week would you say you read? Now I finish about one book every 2-3 weeks

How many books a week would you say you read pre- children? I used to finish 2-3 books per week. And I always have at least 3 books started and at varying stages of completion

What are you currently reading? The DaVinci Code (rereading before movie), Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (having a hard time getting really into it.) and The Third Secret (it's a Vatican thriller/mystery)

What is the last book you read? Divided in Death, JD Robb (I guess Holley and I like the same author)

CantWait replied:
Right now I can't get through a book in less then 6 weeks. I can't seem to get into the one I have now and it's already been 3 weeks and I'm only 20 pages in.

Pre-children I could read 2 books a week. I'd go through a book every 2-3 days.

Currently I'm reading "The Path for Christ" or something like that. Like I said, I can't get into it.

Last one was "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown.

CantWait replied:
Make sure you read the Prequal to DaVinci Code, it's called Angels and Demons, and it's 10% better then DVC. thumb.gif

holley79 replied:
I am a HUGE JD Robb/ Nora Roberts fan. Shawn gets on to me and says I need to clean out my book collection. I have every In Death book and just about everything Nora Roberts has written plus all the other books. I'm a pack rat when it comes to my books. rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
I really like her too, Jessi! thumb.gif

Right now it depends on the book but it takes me about a week to read one, thats if I skip TV altogether! If I don't it takes me about 2.

Pre-kids I read 2 or 3 a week.

Currently reading a collection of F. Scott Fitzgerald, last read Me & Emma (can't remember the author.)

Nina J replied: I read one to two a week.
Before I had Emily, I read about the same.
I'm reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at the moment, I just finished reading the Diary of Anne Frank.

DH says I read to much, I just read fast so it seems like I read alot, KWIM?

amynicole21 replied: It takes me about a month or so to finish a book these days.
Pre-kids, it took me about 2 weeks (unless it was a Harry Potter book which took about 2 days wink.gif )
I'm currently reading Marley and Me.
The last book I read was The Kite Runner - it was great! thumb.gif

MamaJAM replied: How many books a week would you say you read?
A few per month -- depends how much time I have.....the books I read are 500+ pages and I do most of my reading while waiting in the van or at appointments.
How many books a week would you say you read pre- children?
I hated reading before kids.....almost never read anything if I didn't _have_ to.
What are you currently reading?
I'm reading my way through Uncle John's Bathroom Readers -- I have one in the van and another in the house that I'm working on right now.
What is the last book you read?
I finished one of the books in the series last week...I forget which one.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: How many books a week would you say you read? 2

How many books a week would you say you read pre- children? 4

What are you currently reading? Son of a Witch (sequel to Wicked...can't remember the author), Forever Odd (sequel to Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz), and I need to start Picture Perfect for my book club that is in a little over a week (author Jodi Piccolt???), and listening to HUnt for the Red October in the car. Usually I only have one book at a time and maybe an audio book in the car.

What is the last book you read? Some boring chick book

I totally disagree...I thought Angels and Deamons was just okay in comparison

amynicole21 replied:
I liked Angels and Demons better than DVC, but they were both very good wink.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Kelly and Holley, ITA! I love J.D. Robb books!

What is the last book you read?
The last book I finished is the Association by Bently Little.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
Read that one first. I've also read Digital Fortress and Turning Point. Both are also great.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Okay, incorrect. It's called Deception Point, not Turning Point. But I would recommend it to any Dan Brown fan.
