Raygen Olivia is here!!! - Born 4 weeks early

lisar wrote: I went to the dr on tuesday for a sonogram and the dr noticed that my placenta was failing. the baby wasnt getting what she needed. So they did a c-section first thing wednesday morning. She came in at 3lb 15oz. 17inches long. She is in NICU. I am home now she is still in the hospital. She has a tube to eat and an I.V. in her head (just so you know what your looking at in the pics) She is tiny. She had absolutley no breathing problems. She now has jaundice so she is on a blue light. I only get to hold her twice a day for an hour each time. She only gets fed twice a day by a bottle. They dont want her to loose calories trying to eat right now. They said she will be in the hospital atleast another 10 days. bawling.gif I am okay. I left the hospital today and cant stop crying. bawling.gif Its really hard leaving her there. Here are some pics of her.

I know what you mean about leaving the baby at the hospital. I bawled and bawled when I had to leave Trey and go home. I hated every minute that he was there instead of being at home with me. And going back and forth to the hospital wears a person down quickly. I pray that she will be released to go home before you know it! In the meantime, know that she is in the best possible place that she can be, and as hard as it is, its better that she be at the hospital, just in case. Then, when you DO bring her home, you'll know that she's perfect and you won't have to worry!! smile.gif Hang in there, mommy!! grouphug.gif
