Question on AF & Pregnancy Test - I'm sure you know more about this than I

2.) When should I take a HPT? I have a generic brand of EPT pregnancy test, but it says it has the same things in it. Should I spend the money and buy a name brand test?
And it says to take it in the morning, the 1st morning urine. So I'm going to try that.

I am getting pretty excited and anxious about it. I really have felt pregnant, but I don't want to start thinking that way until I know for sure. When I took the 1st HPT, I was scared. I wasn't sure if I was ready to be pregnant again. But now that I've had time to think about it, and knowing how excited DH is....I almost hope that I am! Talk about mood swings!

So I just wanted to know when I'm suppossed to start, when I'm considered late, and when I should test???? And should I buy a name brand test, or use my generic one?

luvmykids replied: As far as I know, the generics are the same .... the only dif I know of is that First Response I told you about that says it can tell before you miss a period.

When we found out I was pg w/the twins, I didn't know there was no such thing as a false positive. So I went back to the drugstore and bought 3 more just to be sure! I swear each one was darker and darker and finally I said "OK, FINE, I GET IT!"

Did you know you were pregnant, besides missing your period?

luvmykids replied: I did and didn't. I had noticed some tiredness and moodiness but the kicker was after about 2 weeks of food not sounding good we went to Outback, one of my faves, and the second they brought it to the table I everywhere. It wasn't until then that it dawned on me I was late. I'm never real regular anyway, so I never think I'm late. (And then I continued to everywhere! The bank, the grocery store, I had to start carrying a bucket in the car b/c it hit so often, and I threw up at my wedding shower AND right after the wedding!)

Ok, so you STARTED on the 24 of December, and you just started TODAY for this month?!?

So I guess that means I'm LATE?!!!!

PrairieMom replied: I did a little math, and IF you cycle is 28 days long your period would have been due on the 16th, which means that you are potenetially 6 days late. I would test now. I have been wondering about ya for a while now! Let us know!

a posititve should show up the day you miss your period or maybe the next day, but I think you may be 6 days late, so test now! take it take it! right this very minute.
