Question for those with iPhones

Danalana wrote: I ordered one last night because my Palm Centro died for the second time. I used to think I wouldn't want one, but I think it could be neat. Anyway, I wanted to ask about apps. What apps do use most? I am currently browsing an apps store, and I don't know how I will ever decide laugh.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Buy them all.... I am up to 4 pages of 'stuff' smile.gif I use it all

Boo&BugsMom replied: I really want an iPhone, but it is so out of our budget right now! sad.gif

Danalana replied: Well, it probably would have been better to go with a less expensive phone, but I got a pretty good deal. And I didn't get the new one either. I've just gotten used to a touchscreen, and so many of my friends and family love theirs....I hope I love it too!

jcc64 replied: I inherited dh's old iphone--he got the second generation one--I have the oldest one. I have to say, I am not a huge fan of the phone feature, I don't know if the speaker is too small, defective, or what, but I can barely hear what the other person is saying. From what I understand, this is a common problem with that model. Sort of a big liability for a phone imo, but dh's model is fine, and I'm sure yours will be as well, Dana. The touchscreen texting isn't great either, I'm forever hitting the wrong letter--maybe my fingers are too fat or something.
Having said that, I still love the phone--I'm not a manual reader, and it's the first phone I've ever owned that I can actually figure out how to use all of the features. I haven't added too many apps, but dh has pages of them on his. I use the "evernote" audio note taking app a lot, so that I can listen to my class notes/lesson plans while I'm driving. That comes with the phone, I think. I really do use it more like a portable hard drive--I have movies for Corey, files I need to transfer between computers, etc...lots of storage space.
Have fun Dana, I think you're gonna like it a lot.

Danalana replied: Thanks, Jeanne! I got the 3G, but I didn't order the newest one. I just didn't wanna pay that much for one when we are about to have a new baby and just moved into a new house. but I do believe I will love it too. I saw an app where you can post stickies...errands, grocery lists, etc...Lord knows I need that one!

jcc64 replied: Did you know that there's a bubble wrap app????

Danalana replied: No! And what do I do with that?

Calimama replied:
POP the bubble wrap silly! I like the calorie counter, flash light app, and the money organizer one. I don't have the IPHONE though, so my apps might be different!

Danalana replied: Oh! laugh.gif I should have known!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Even Johnny can navigate the phone. he knows how to turn it on find his games and then play them, he can also get to the movies and turn one on. When he had the surgery to close up the hole from the feeding tube he sat at the nurses station doing all the pre-op stuff playing a game and let them take his blood pressure and temperature everything. It made the nurse want one so bad. they were all watching him and commenting on how they had never seen such a cooperative 2 year old. For Cade I highly reccomend preschool adventure, and Toddler Time quiz (i think thats what it's called). For you the list is endless... there is seriously an app for anything.

Danalana replied: I'm getting excited! I hope I get it tomorrow!

coasterqueen replied: Enjoy your phone. thumb.gif Be careful, though, we've dropped our phones twice (just the other day was the 2nd time) and have had to buy new phones. dry.gif That part sucks about the iphone, because the screen is glass.

As far as apps...most of mine and DH's are kid related so they can play them at the restaurants, etc. I have a grocery list app on there that I use, though.

jcc64 replied: Karen, what apps do the girls play with the most?

coasterqueen replied:
Well, I only give them the free ones to play happy.gif , but iColoringbk, iWrite...sLite, LetterTracer, Matches, Math Magic, Pac-Man Lite, reMovem free, Scribble Lite, TT Shapes, TicTacTouch, TurkeyHunt, Whatck....Lite, WS Kids, AnimalMatch, Bubbles.

I'm not sure exactly which ones they play the most as they kinda go from one game to the next, but those are the apps on my phone. I think one or two of those are paid apps that I bought with a gift card I had, but not sure.

Megan plays more with my camera and Kylie likes the word search the best.
