Question for nix4noles

Tylersmommy wrote: Hey I noticed in your profile you're from Florida. ME TOO!!!! What part? I live in the Tampa Bay area.

Tylersmommy replied: Anyone else from Florida?? How do you like the hot weather lol??

kit_kats_mom replied: Tampa area here too. It's way too hot for February blink.gif . I had the windows opened but I had to close them because I started sweating too much. UGH

Tylersmommy replied: yeah our windows are open and fans are running lol we live with my grandparents and they think that because it's still February we shouldn't run the air conditioning lol so I'm like not feeling very cool at the moment and the news said it was going to be the coldest February we've ever had but it seems to me like it's the hotest I envy the people who are talking about haveing snow and ice lol

mckayleesmom replied: Hopefully we will be in Jacksonville soon......probably July the way its looking. My Mother in law lives in Titusville.

Tylersmommy replied: Jacksonville is kinda far from here I have a friend that is going to college up there

C&K*s Mommie replied: You are near my DH's half-sister, Crystal. She is in the Tampa area, too.

We are in the NW region on Florida, the Panhandle as some refer to it as. smile.gif Pensacola to be exact.

Right now it is fair weather in the mid 50's. And it has been fair all day. But in the summer..... OMG!!! ohmy.gif It is unbearable during the heat waves we get. I cannot stand the cold, and I cannot stand the unbearable heat, either.

Spring and early summer are what I prefer. thumb.gif

Was anyone effected by any of the hurricanes too badly in the last few years?? We sustained very minimal damage with Ivan, a fallen pine landed in the field behind us (the county's property). And one of our posts under our front porch landed on our car. Other than that our swing was beaten up and twisted pretty badly but I wanted to get a new one anyhow. Come to think of it we never did buy another after that. rolleyes.gif

holley79 replied: I am right here in Pensacola with Nicole. Enjoying the cooler weather. We were hot for the most part this "winter" though. Not looking forward to hurricane season. I have family in Central FL though. I grew up in Geneva outside of Sanford and spent most of my summers in Titusville. Love it down there but don't miss the crowds. Now Pensacola is getting to be just as bad though. dry.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: It really is. That sucks! mad.gif But the news reported that some 1500 (i think) residents left after the Hurricanes. It may have been more, I just cannot remember that well.

I would not be surprised if it were more though. I am sure alot of those beach residents are still fighting with the insurance agencies over their damage. And whether it was wind or water related damage. Grrr.... growl.gif

And the insurance premium adjustments. OMG!! Some people have had their skyrocket!

Tylersmommy replied: We didn't really get much damage from the hurricanes. I live in Zephyrhills (stolen water and Livestock thats what we're known for lol isn't that nice) so we're pretty much too inland for water damage lol some small tree branches fell but that was it lol and we were all worried about them. rolleyes.gif You guys are lucky it's been around 90 here for the past week or so it's soooo hot I wonder if summer will be much worse I hope not especially with the new baby coming of course he'll be a few months old by the time it gets bad.

kit_kats_mom replied:
Wow! You are really close to me. I'm in the Wesley Chapel area. Maybe we can get the kids together sometime for a zoo trip or a playground trip.

Tylersmommy replied: thats awsome maybe you could come to my bible study with me on Thursday at the Pregnancy Care Center in town. There are a lot of kids and moms there it's great.
