We went in on Thursday morning around 8am and they prepped Frankie for his Hypospadius surgery. His appointment was for 9:30am and he didn’t eat since 3am. The doctor came back and told us that due to some staff members being late, they would have to push Frankies surgery back to 10:30am…..
p.s. they came and got him at 11:30am.. Mommy & Daddy were not happy…
At this point, I carried my son to the operating table where he sat up and smiled at everyone (not knowing what he was in for). Only one parent was allowed in the room so I told Ali that I would go. I laid Frankie on his back and the doctors gave him the anisthea as I looked in his eyes so he knew daddy was there, and held his little hand…Frankie went to sleep....
The doctors told us that this surgery would take over 4 hours…
p.s. 45 minute later, the doctors stopped, came out and told us that they believe that Frankie might have 2 urethras and that he has to go for a test that they could not do there. Without that information they couldn't perform the surgery.
Basically, we lost our minds, absolutely no sleep, Frankie starving since 3am for us to do it all over again. The doctor said that the next available surgery date would be in December. So now, all we can do is wait…again...
Thanks for the support. I never cried so hard in my life when I left my son on the operating table. I realy love him...

I know how hard a toll this must be taking on you folks, having had an infant and another very young child undergo general anesthesia. Hang in there guys... We're all pulling for the best for you all! Prayers and PT's your way!
