moped wrote: My boss just gave me a huge jar and asked me to come up with a name/label for it.......
The jar is for a $20 bill everytime someone's phone rings in a meeting - this is apparently an issue and he wants it to stop. The $$ all go to charity.
WHAT CAN I CALL THIS JAR?
booey2 replied: "INTERUPTION JAR"??
moped replied: FAbulous!!!!!!
mckayleesmom replied: The "turn your phone off or pay for it jar"...
my2girls replied: From who the bell tolls jar...like in Hemingways " For whom the bells toll" book?
msoulz replied: "You ring, you pay"
I love the idea. But I can see all kinds of grousing about it!
DVFlyer replied: The "lucky you're not getting fired" jar.
If it was my office, I'd have a rule that if your phone rang in my meeting, you'd get one warning. If it rang again in that or another meeting, you wouldn't have to worry about coming to any more meetings.
moped replied: I like that!!!!!!
moped replied: Nope, they won't complain, they made way too much $$ anyways!
momofone replied: The Pay Up Pit
DVFlyer replied: Put a sign next to it that says:
"A picture is worth a 1000 words.... a ringing cell phone during this meeting is worth $20"
The other way to do it is have EVERYONE put $20 into the jar at the beginning of the meeting.
Anyone who's phone didn't ring during the meeting gets their $20 back at the end.
