Purex Baby (laundry detergent)?

3xsthefun wrote: Has anyone else used this? It was recommended at another message board, so I thought if I could find it I would try it. I happen to find it Friday when I was out grocery shopping. I haven't tried it yet..but can't wait. smile.gif Also, since it is lot cheaper then Dreft I figured it would be worth buying.

I only washed my girls baby clothes once with Dreft and that was only because I had a sample of it before they were born. After they wore them the first time I just washed them in the same laundry detergent we used, they never get a allergic reaction to it.

Anyways, I was just curious if anyone else has used it?

boyohboyohboy replied: I use tide free and clear on all our clothes, so i dont have to do seperate laundry. I also have a baby with bad allergies and eczema, so this has worked great for us...no perfumes or dyes...
Its also much cheaper then baby detergent.

Jackie012007 replied: we use it! we also have used ALL for babys - bothhave worked well as far as I can tell - Carly has really sensitive skin, and has never had a problem with either!

hopefulmomtobe replied: I have been using ALL perfume free lately because we have been washing some baby clothes that we have been buying and my friend uses it for her twins that have sensitive skin and rashes from other detergents and this has been working well for them.

MotherForever2043 replied: I haven't used Purex before. But my sister bought me Dreft, but I'm not sure how the baby's going to react to it. If everythign is fine, then I'll continue to use it. but if it's not then I'll probably use ALL.

3xsthefun replied: Oh, we will see how he reacts to it. If he it don't work out we will get one of the other detergents without perfume or dye. I wasn't really plan on using seperate laundry detergent this time but since I found it and good buy I thought I would go ahead and get it. It was only like $3.50 for a bottle of it, not sure how many ounces it was but think it done like 21 loads.

Jackie, how do you like it? Does it seem to clean pretty well?

Brias3 replied: I used Dreft when my kids were newborn but then started washing everything together after awhile.

Haven't tried the Purex or any new baby detergent but sure do wish they were around when mine were smaller- the price looks great!

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I never used different detergents. I have very sensitive skin so I just buy the Arm and Hammer free. No color, fragrance, nothing. It's really great. And since Logan inherited my skin ( mad.gif sad.gif ) it does wonders for both of us and I don't have to buy two different kinds. I am sure it'll do just fine for Ryan Robert.

3xsthefun replied: I guess I got lucky, my kids never did have any problems with any laundry detergent. But it still don't mean Ryan might not have any allergies to it.

I wish they would have had it when my girls were baby's too. smile.gif

ETA: Just curious does it look like I wrote $ 3. 50 to you all or something else? It looks weird to me. But when I hit reply it looks normal.

hoosier momma replied: I have used this my 13 month old was born. I washed all of his clothes in it prior to his arrival and have continued to do so. It does okay on stains, but I always pretreat with shout or something of that nature. I still use the baby Purex just because I love the smell. I always do his laundry seperate so the different soap isn't a hassle for me.

Cece00 replied: I've never used it. Honestly, I hate baby detergents b/c they dont get out stains. I always washed the clothes like all the other clothes and did an extra rinse for the first few months. Although my kids dont have sensitive skin so that may not work for all babies.

Calimama replied:
We use Dreft.. I love it!! It makes her clothes smell so awesome and is great on getting out stains. We tried Purex and didn't like it.
