LMAO . I don't know if i'll use it. I've found some other cute stuff and I don't know, I just... it's not my favorite. I'm the one who has to do this nursery, I may yet, I may yet.

Luckily I have till June!

iluvmysweetiepies replied: LOL thought you might have *accidently* lost it tongue.gif emlaugh.gif Oh well, there are lots of other cute sets out there.

loveydad replied: I've had a really hard time findingstuff to go with it you know? LIke the lamps I found are all over 100 dollars! The other stuff I found was really ugly. I want something really bright and cheereful but I may still go with this.

iluvmysweetiepies replied: Yeah, things can get pretty expensive. We got some inexpensive letters at a local craft store on sale, painted them white, an hung them above the cribs. That turned out really cute and for 12 letters was about $30 total, much cheaper than ordering them. I also bought a cute book (can't remember what it's called) that had nice pictures in it and cut some out, framed them, and hung them on the wall. It makes the room look really cheery. Just some ideas, sorry to ramble. smile.gif

chloe&tysmommy replied: I still like that one! lol Which one does your wife like?

loveydad replied: Tav likes that one and an Americana post

cdefmomma replied: loveydad- Are you a decorator? You keep mentioning stuff about people needing a room done. anyway if so I getting ready to redo a bedroom for three boys a girls room and a toy room and I NEED HELP!!

loveydad replied:
What I do is I help the people to decide what it is they want in a room. Then I help them pick out the bedding, find someone will paint or paint myself, but I have the people telling me what they want. When they odn't know or are open to anything, I come up with ideas for them. I'm really visually though so it's kind of hard for me to help people when I can't see whats going on. I "design" rooms in my spare time and put them to use sometimes. Also, I do some kids rooms and playrooms.

What kind of advice do you need? Let me know and I'll see what I can do to help. Playrooms are a lot of fun cause there's so much you can do!

cdefmomma replied: okay here is the deal my three boys have a room w/ just their bunk beds and their dressers in it. It is strictly a sleep and dress room. Well they want it in spiderman. So we thought about painting it spiderman blue (which is quit dark) w/ red trim. We have red curtains already and we would get just plain red comforters since they will probably grow out of spiderman soon that way we can just incorporate the red blankets into the new room. anyway then we will get spiderman decal s and some painted shelves for the wall. My question on that room is will the blue be too dark. i think it would look awesome but hubby thinks we should do it RED. but i say noway. i think red would be too much for a sleep room. what do you think.

Then we have our masterbed room which is HUGE transformed into their ( all three boys and fiona) toy room and they have one of those mickey mouse tv's and dvd players mounted to the wall. should we then do the whole room in Mickey Mouse or would it be ok to do something else. Or should we keep it kinda plain/neutral really no theme?

loveydad replied:
The problem with red is it'll be awful bright too. Our twins have a spiderman room, or will, and i was going to paint the room red with blue trim. However, I found some really awesome border so I may do blue with red trim. Blue may be too bright but then the red make highlight it and make it look good. I guess if it just doesn't look good you can always repaint it (big job I know). I reccomend asking your boys wht athey think too. If nothing else you could figure out some paint stripes or something.
I think blue would probably be better because it wouldn't be AS bright. Depends on what kind of paint you use.

For the playroom, themes are fun. They don't half to be al ot of work either. The best thing I can say for your playroom is make it colorful! If you wanted you could just paint the room and put up a border, hang up pictures if you want. There's a really cool paint so you can spray on a chalkboard in on the wall. Our playroom has a big whit eboard in it. Remember that just because you have a certain thing in theri doesn't mean the whole room has to be that way. My kids have the same tv you're talking about and obviously it doesn't match their new room, but it'll be the same color, know what I mean?

cdefmomma replied: Thanks loveydad!

They like the blue w/ red trim idea. I think that is what we'll try.
We have a painted on chalk board in our rec room downstairs and they love it so we might put one up here to. I am having the herdest time settling on a color for their playroom though. I just don't know. Thank you very much for talking w/ me. I'll let you know how it goes. I just got done redoing our bathroom downstairs, livingroom, diningroom, and kitchen this summer and now I have the bathroom, master bedroom, two kids room, playroom and the rec room downstairs. I want it all done by next fall so I better get busy huh?

I'll post the finished products.

loveydad replied: Yes you will!

Our playroom is painted big stripes, blue red yellow green - primary colors ect. It's really bright!

hope everything goes smoothly
