Prayers and positive thoughts-please

Jamison'smama wrote: My MIL is in the hospital right now in Midland, TX 6 hours from home(she was attending a Christian conference). She has pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed June 2nd and she has been doing okay so far. She gets chemo each week if she can tolerate it, she's been through ups and downs with the cancer, this weekend she became weak and sick and was taken to the hospital--she started throwing up tremendous amounts of blood and they are awaiting the endoscope tomorrow to see the cause of the blood in her stomach. Chances are the cancer has perforated the stomach but we are praying it is an ulcer or something like that. There is a lot of blood because she is on a blood thinner for her port so any bleeding is extreme.

Not much any of us can do at this time except pray--we will head that way if the results of the endoscope are what we fear and things look poor. This is an awful and rapid cancer and she has done amazingly well thus far but the average life span with this cancer is 4-8 months.

Please keep my husband's family in your prayers--they are an amazing and close family. DH has 3 sisters and his mom and dad have been married over 40 years.

Jamison'smama replied: Update--thanks for all of your positive thoughts--not good news though--the scope showed a new group of cancer cells are in her stomach.

jcc64 replied: Unfortunately, I know all too well what you're going through. My dad has kidney cancer, which is now in his lungs and growing fast, and he has at best a few more months to live. It is utter agony watching someone you love go through something like this, and I pray that your family finds the strength and courage to give her as peaceful a death as is possible under the circumstances. I'm very sorry.

Lily replied: Prayers said for your MIL.... sad.gif
