Potty training hilarity

Last night Sophia poopied in the potty (yay!) and when she was done dh left her in the bathroom while he went to get a new pull-up. While standing there, I guess she farted and was very concerned that she had poopied on the floor. She was yelling for me, telling me what happened and frantically searching the floor with a look of panic on her face. Just then, DH walked in and she screamed "OH MY GOD, DON'T STEP IN IT!!!!" DH and I burst into laughter and didn't stop for at least an hour.

That girl cracks me up.

jcc64 replied: Yeah, we're sort of up to our eyeballs in poop and poop anxiety these days too. Corey has a raging conflict in her little obsessive toddler head. When she feels the "urge", she desperately wants to get on the potty. But then when it's actually "showtime", she gets stage fright and starts screaming for a diaper. All this back and forth has her constipated. I don't give a sh*t where she goes, as long as she goes somewhere and stops screaming "POOPY" 40 times a day, no matter where we are (mall, restaurant, etc).

A few weeks ago she was out in the living room watching t.v and she got up walked over to the table and looked her dad right in the eye and pulled her panties down (she got to wear big girl panties cause we were at home) he asked her what she was doing and she said nothing. Just as he started to tell her to pull her panties up she peed on my living room floor. Pulled up her panties and said "I didn't pee in my panties daddy"

It was one of those moments where you shouldn't laugh but can't help it. We then of course went through the ritual of where the pee needed to go. But your story reminded me of that.

The joys of parenthood, and laughs we get out of it.
