Potty Chair - when did you get one?

Mommy2Isabella wrote: Isabella is very interested in the toilet room ...

She loves to hand me the toilet paper, and flush the toilet ...

I talked to the pedi, about a potty seat and she said GO FOR IT.

I plan to sit her on it when I go so she knows thats where we potty and before bath time sit her on it with no diaper, and if she goes then PRAISE HER ...

any ideas, comments, suggestions!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well I am certainly no expert since Wil is 3 and still in diapers...But I would say go for it! I don't think it's ever too early to get her familiar with the potty.

Brias3 replied: GO FOR IT! It's never too early, especially with those two little ones on the way smile.gif

Our biggest problem was always lack of interest, so if she's showing some, go with it! Good luck smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: It can't hurt! thumb.gif

Calimama replied: If she's interested go for it! Be careful with the musical potty.. it nearly gave Miabella a heart attack. rolling_smile.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: No we are getting her a regular potty, easier for a transition IMO because our big girl toilet doesn't sing !!

Brias3 replied:
I'll agree with that!

I backed up potty training Mason for about two months when I got the little race car potty for him, thinking he would love a "cool big boy potty". More like scared the living heck out of the poor kid dry.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I say go for it!!!! tongue.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Do NOT get the Royal Potty. It is horrible and oh so small, I don't know how children can get anything down that little hole they call a seat. We had luck with one of those potty inserts you fit over the toilet. We also got Tanner a potty seat from Step 2....it turned into a stool as well. It wasn't fancy, just realistic. It had a cushy seat and came with stickers he'd put on the inside of the lid.

luvmykids replied:
I loved that...so much easier to keep clean laugh.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
That's what sold me! Anything to make it easier to clean up after. laugh.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: Here is the one we are getting

It turns into a stool as well ... smile.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: Ouch, that doesn't look very comfortable. She may be more inclined to sit on one if it's more comfortable. JMO

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: That one looks really cute and fancy, but in all honesty, just seems like a lot of work to clean. Sorry, but I wouldn't pay that much. I first bought one from Walmart for maybe $16 total. The seat cover comes off and you can put it on a regular sized toilet, which I did. Wil prefers going on the big potty. It's so easy to clean. You just lift the seat off and use a wipe or something around the rim. And I think the transition is easier IMO because they are already up on the big seat. JMO....but obviously we're still not PT. blush.gif

moped replied:
Don't do the music - you may turn her off it for years

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Oooo, I think this is the same one we got. The seat comes off and can fit on the normal potty. It also turns into a stool. I got it for cheap at Walmart too. When it comes to potty seats, more expensive definitly does not mean it's anything better. The one we got was very comfortable too, the seat was cushioned. thumb.gif

moped replied: We have one but never use it because Jack is so tall he can do it all himself on the real potty.......
