Pls send Brianna some get well vibes... - My baby girl is not well......

Lollie wrote: Hi Mommies....

Well,Brianna has been teething and since yesterday shes been cranky.First I thought its just the teething but her tummy is running alot and now shes also got a bit of a hight temperature.

My mum had her for a little while earlier to see if she could soothe her and shes been asleep for a little while but now she's up again and she wont drink or smile or anything! sad.gif Right now my mum is babysitting her for a while so I can have a cup of tea.She slept for about 4 hrs last night and was up at 6 am and only had a nap again at about 2 pm! unsure.gif

I wont even go nap cos I wont be able to until my baby girl is feeling a bit better.I chatted to a friend of mine and her baby had the similar symptoms Bri has of some bug going around. So Im giving Bri Levsin drops and Tylenol...If theres no change soon Im going to have to take her to her Paediatrician...I hope I dont have to tho... sad.gif

So this means no milk for Bri cos of her runny tummy...Im giving her water and pedilyte when she wants..which isnt often. sad.gif

Pls send her get well vibes.... wub.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: You should still nurse her while she is sick, breastmilk in easy to digest and has all the nutrients she needs right now! I hope she feels better soon and I'm glad you have your mom over to help you with her! Try to close your eyes for a few minutes, even if you don't sleep you need to try to relax! grouphug.gif

Lollie replied: Thanx Kirsten..

If she wants breastmilk I'll give her..I do try to give her but she doesnt wanna drink.Shes taking a bit of water..hope she drinks her breastmilk tho..she needs the nutrients.I'll keep at it.

coasterqueen replied: Sorry she's sick sad.gif. Hope she feels better soon.

I agree with Kirsten. The best thing for a baby when they are sick is breastmilk. You are making antibodies in your breastmilk to help her fight off the sickness. Breastmilk is 10x better than giving pedialyte too.

Kaitlin'smom replied: ~get well soon~

MomToMany replied: ITA with what Kirsten & Karen said. Breastmilk would be much better for her.

Well, the good news is that Bri slept a bit better last night and today she wanted to breastfeed a bit more than she did yesterday. thumb.gif

Im still giving her the pedilyte,Tylenol and Levsin drops when she needs it. Her tummy is still running so I dont want her to get dehydrated.

Brianna didnt have such a good night last night...she was so cranky. sad.gif Im glad that my mum babysat her for a few hrs today so I could get some rest!!!

I spoke to her paediatrician again today and he prescribed the Hyland tablets for her...the pharmacy didnt have the gel in stock but he said the tablets should be fine!!!Thanx to some of my friend's recommendations....its great!!I gave her the tablet and she fell asleep soon after that...mmmm...the tylenoy also must have did its thing!! wink.gif

So shes still on 500 ml's of breastmilk a day fior the moemnt until her tummy settles..but giving her tins of fluids and shes eating her pumpkin..but not nearly as much as she normally does..but thats to be expected with her tooth trying to come through.

I hope we have a good night tonight!! rolleyes.gif
