Our Lil' Family replied: It doesn't look like it'll win, but if the last one does (Hurricane victim charity), I have a friend heading this up: Caravan 4 Christmas She's driving down from DC with a truck load of toys for kids in New Orleans.
mckayleesmom replied: I voted St Judes
PhiMuMommy replied: i'm partial to make a wish foundation.. my best friend died of brain cancer at 15 (there was no way to stop it at all) and make a wish sent him to meet the dallas cowboys and meet the team!!!!!
they are an incredible group that does incredible things. and yes so are the others but sometimes when things can't be stopped it helps knowing that dreams can still be reached!
thanks
MM'sMama replied: Me too! I've helped raise a lot for them over the years.
ammommy replied: Hmm...what do we do if we have a tie? It looks like we might be heading there
jacobsmama replied: I voted make a wish I think what they do is great!
mckayleesmom replied: ST. JUDES.....ST.JUDES.....ST. JUDES
holley79 replied: Depending on the Charity that wins. What do you do to donate to it as a group?
I'm just curious never have done this before.
mckayleesmom replied: I think we donate money.....you don't have to.....but then they will send the donated money along to the charity.
my2monkeyboys replied: I vote St. Judes. I like Make a Wish ok, but I know there was one child who wanted to go hunting, and they wouldn't allow it because of the gun/hunting issue. JMO.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanzaa to all! (Did I spell those right?!?)
MommyToAshley replied: Please vote today... I will close the poll tonight. And set up a link for donations.
We'll accept donations through December 22 at which time I will close the link and we'll make the donation to the charity of choice. I'm glad we could do this together.
jem0622 replied: I voted Ronald McDonald House because they touch the lives of so many. They provide so many types of support to parents/families of very ill children (many types of illnesses) when their kids are being treated away from their hometown. My parents benefitted from the Ronald McDonald House when my late sister was being treated for/dying of cancer.
amymom replied: I voted St. Jude's but that was a few days ago, I just never posted here.
MommyToAshley replied: They are all worthy charities and I am sure it was a hard decision. It looks like Make A Wish Foundation won by one vote.
We'll put up a donation page tonight. Thanks everyone.
