Please make this night end... - I'm scared

CantWait wrote: it's around 2:50 am right now, and at 2:30 this morning my doorbell rang. What reason does one have to ring someones doorbell at 2:30 in the morning. My dog went crazy barking, I'm all alone, of course I didn't answer the door....just kind of threw on a pair of pants and stood in fear. When I looked outside I could see nothing...but now I can get back to sleep. bawling.gif I'm freaking out. unsure.gif

MM'sMama replied: Oh no I am so sorry honey! hug.gif Hang in there!

amymom replied: Oh gosh. This was awhile ago, I hope everything is ok. Did you call the police?

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Oh Marie,I am so sorry I would have been scared too! Is everything ok now?

gr33n3y3z replied: I wonder who it was
Are you ok?

Boys r us replied: How frightening!!! ohmy.gif

hug.gif I hope that everything is okay!

kimberley replied: sad.gif creepy. hope you got some sleep. let us know you are ok. hug.gif

jacobsmama replied: Aww marie wub.gif Wish we could help you more. hug.gif

PrairieMom replied: I hope you are doing a little better this morning! hug.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: hug.gif hug.gif It was probably just some kids playing pranks - my froend who lived in a housing development when I was growing up used to do that a lot.

I hope everything is ok and you got some sleep! hug.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: That is frightening!! I would not be able to sleep much after that, either. ohmy.gif Even if it only were a prank, (a bad one at that mad.gif ), I would have my ears perked up until daylight.

CAMSMOM1 replied: ITA, it was probably kids plyaing a prank...but I would still be worried. That's why when we bought our house, we put in a home alarm system in. It's full perimeter alarm, and it gives me some peace of mind. Since your husband isn't home, have you thought about getting an alarm for your place?
I'm glad you didn't open the door. At least you were using your head, and being safe. I hope this doesn't happen again. hug.gif

CantWait replied: No I didn't call the police. I would have felt like an idiot for that....especially when no one attempted to get in. They probably heard my dog barking and decided to split if they were into causing trouble (I love my pup).

I'm alright now, although i didn't get a whole lot of sleep. I finally went back to bed around 6am, now I'm tired and have a huge headache, as well as my stomach is still doing the butterfly dance. I looked outside this morning and couldn't see any indication that anyone was there.

As for an alarm system, we won't be here long enough, and the money just isn't in the budget at this time.

Thanks everyone.

AnnasMom replied: HOW SCARY! I'm glad you didn't open the door. hug.gif Hang in there.

amymom replied: I just remembered, one time my brothers doorbell would ring when the temperature, went down low. It was somekind of electrical short, that was triggered by cold weather.

I wonder if something similar happened to you last night?

CosmetologyMommy replied: My best friend and I used to do that to people late at night when we were like 13......................... tongue.gif But when I think about it now and how I would feel if someone did it to me, I feel bad! unsure.gif

CantWait replied:
Not cold enough here right now. It's amazingly quite nice the last few weeks. sun.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: Scary. You may want to look into the alarm companies though. Ours will set you up in a new place if you move for no extra fee once you sign a contract.
