We are having terrible money problems this month. We only had $375 cash this month and we had to pay our rent too My dh helped someone move and then he helped another family with their house and made that money or else we wouldnt of had ANY money this month. But we are now totally broke and I am wondering if ANY of you have ANY kind of old toys laying around your house that you could send to me to put into my childrens easter basket this month?

As of now they will not be getting any easter basket because i have nothing to put in it and they dont have that many toys like it is. i was going to try to put some of their old toys in the basket but they dont have that many and they would know.

if you have any old little toys laying around like old happy meal toys or anything that i could use then i would be very grateful. my kids would be so happy. my daughter knows she is not getting an easter basket and is pretty sad. my son well he is pretty young and doesnt understand.

but if any of you have any old toys you could send me. just small toys that wouldnt cost much to send then i could suprise my dd with a basket!! Well a shoe box at least!!! i dont even have a basket but i could use a shoe box filled with cut up peices of paper (like that egg grass)

if i only had some little toys. i have called everywhere and no one has any old little toys in my town.

mckayleesmom replied: I can't promise anything,,,but we are moving in a week or so,,,I think they have consignment shops on base and my husband says they usually have a place where people drop off baby and kid stuff they don't use anymore...I will look when I get there....please come back and remind me though.

mckayleesmom replied: I forgot I was going to add some advice. Don't let your children know you are broke...please don't do that. I grew up like that...always knowing when we were broke and when my mom was struggling to give us christmas or easter etc, heck..we might have electricity when I went to school and none when I got home. ...my mom would starve herself if it meant buying us a present. My mom didn't tell us we were broke,,,but we would overhear them talking or it was obvious when we were broke. I would get such stomach aches and ulsers over it. I remember thinking that I wish it wasn't a holiday because I would rather not have a present then to see my mommy worry like that. Trust me..its better to not recieve a present then to know that your mommy is worrying and upset.

Mommy2BAK replied: I have been in touch with this lady. I have committed to helping her, and if anyone else would like to help also that would be great!!! We could figure out what we are getting to make sure we don't get the same things for them.

3_call_me_mama replied: I have a daycare center so i have a ton of stuff that is actually new that i am more than willing to send, chalk, coloring crayons, colroing books, bubbles, jumpropes etc. (actually i am getting ready to close the center so i need to get rid of some things.... ) I PM'ed her to let her know.. but wanted to let you all know to so we wouldn't duplicate.. also i am sending her some baskets, we have like 10 easter baskets her cause my inlaws give us a family basket every year and I just hang on to them...
