Playpens
CantWait wrote: Who uses them? Do you find it was worth it to purchase it? I'm not sure if I wanna get one for Anthony or just get a bunch of baby gates for the stairs and the kitchen. He's not crawling yet, but that didn't stop him today from pulling out a plug from an outlet
~CrazieMama~ replied: I don't use a playpen. We just have gates up. Brianna gets free roam of the house.
mummy2girls replied: I use one with jenna. but not for her to play in...for her to sleep in at work for naps...thats it..I broke 2 playpens already as my blonde hairs just shone through! DUH!
aspenblue1 replied: I use one for Isabella to sleep in when we are somewhere else also when we are out by the pool.
MommyToAshley replied: I use a play pen for Ashley.... I used it a lot more when she was younger.
We bought a pack'n play that is easy to pack up and take with you.
booey2 replied: We had one given to us when Matthew was born, it is a pack and play also. We use it only for sleeping and used gates up when we could, now they just pull the gates down when they want to go somewhere. We have a lot of family out of the city so we travel a lot and needed a portable bed for them and this works great.
ediep replied: we have one, but I only use it for sleeping when we are out. I have a gate at the stairs and Jay pretty much roams the rest of the house.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I have two, one a pack and play at the sitters for her to nap in and one at home. I really dont use it though, mostly she has run of certain rooms. She has only used the one at home a few times and usually cause I needed to have her in there when I was home with her and I had to go potty, other wise she is not in it, I though I would use it more but I dont.
DansMom replied: I have a Pack and Play style playpen (it might be a different brand, I can't remember). It's in the basement, filled with toys he's not using.
We used it in the living room when he was first born, because it could be modified to a bassinet and changing table. When I was healing, it meant that I did not have to go so far. And he slept in the bassinet sometimes. Since then it's just been a bin for toys.
kit_kats_mom replied: We had a pack and play. She slept in the bassinet by our bed twice and refused to get in it again. I just gave it to my cousin who is having a baby in June
jen replied: We registered for the Pack N Play, It just seems like it is a 3 in 1 kind of thing and easy to cart around to other people's houses that might not have such a safe house for a baby to crawl around in! LOL! I think we will use it!
coasterqueen replied: I used a pack n' play for Kylie but only when she was really little. It came with the bassinet part in it and that's really the only part we used. She just hated being caged up in that thing when she got older.
kimberley replied: i used a pack'n'play for the boys too. if we were outside in the yard or away at the cottage it really came in handy. it is an extra bed safe for the kids.
5littleladies replied: We have a pack n' play also. We haven't really used it in for playing in-just for sleeping in and for taking to other peoples houses. We did use it for our second one though-she played in it all the time.
A&A'smommy replied: i wanna get one for when alyssa naps downstairs....or for when we go somewhere she is getting to big for her bassinet.
Jamison'smama replied: We have a pack and play but we mainly used it for the changing table part. I would buy it again just for that though--we stored the diapers and wipes in the bassinet --worked great--only took it down last week when we rearranged the furniture. We still have one up in our bedroom. I keep thinking I will try to transition her out of our bed to the pack and play then to her own room but that just isn't happening.
I think they are worth the money for the changing table and I used one occasionally before we had the gates up if I had to run to the restroom or take a shower.
Beccas_mom replied: [FONT=Optima][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue] Hey we actually have 2 .We are on a Temporary stay and all of our furniture is in storage including Becca's crib. SHe is sleeping in her Pack N Play and then we also have a cheap Graco one that she will play in when we go outside to smoke or when i am cleaning.
