Playing outside
A&A'smommy wrote: I am just wondering if anyone has been taking their kids out lately its been SOOO hott here that I can't stand to be out unless we are in the pool and I don't want to do that because the cement is SOOO hott around the pool that I have to CONSTANTLY poor water on it to keep it cool enough for her too play (she REFUSES to stay in the water) and when we first throw water on it, it literally SIZZELS its awful! Just wondering if I'm mean for not taking her out much... my mom takes her out some in the morning before its killer hot...
coasterqueen replied: Our sitter has been taking them out for maybe 1/2 hour at a time, to go for a walk or something but that's it. Other than that, nope.
TANNER'S MOM replied: The boys stay out.. the girls you couldnt drag out unless the house is on fire..
I make them come in around the noon hours..
And only water too drink to stay hydrated.. (sp??)
ammommy replied: We go out first thing in the AM and after dinner, if at all. It's been in the 90's and humid, when it isn't raining I keep an eye on Alec. He sweats alot and when his face gets red, we go in. 15-30 minutes, tops.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, we were going out in the evenings, but the mosquitos are SO BAD!! It is incredibly hot here, too. I don't let the kids go out much.
MM'sMama replied: Only in the morning usually its just to hot otherwise and Brice really doesn't do well with heat at all .
iluvmysweetiepies replied: It hasn't been TOO hot around here so we've been spending some time outside. We usually go out in the morning or when the babies are sleeping.
~KARA~ replied: Usually only in the late evenings then they have to be covered in bug spray. If I wasnt prego they would probably be out more playing in the pool but not this summer. They have been in their new pool 4 times since June 4th.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has been out to swim, but that's about it. She's cool, but I burn up. Although, I do get in her pool to cool off.
A couple of days ago, we went to the park with a friend of mine and her daughter. It was soooo hot. The girls ended up using the bottles of water to pour on each other's head ...LOL! It was so funny to watch!
Mommy2BAK replied: Well, Blakely just got a sandbox for her birthday and we set it up out back in the shade and as long as we are just sitting there it doesn't get too hot. But I also set up her little pool next to the sandbox and today we went from the sandbox then strait to the pool to get all that sand off. I had to strip her down there was sand EVERYWHERE!
mckayleesmom replied: We stay in...its too hot. I would take her to the indoor pool, but I can't find my bathing suit.
3xsthefun replied: They don't get play outside much unless it is in the evening now. I feel bad about not letting them play outside.
MyKidsMommy2005 replied: we get outside quite a bit lately. for a couple weeks it was to hot here to barely move. It got up to 42deg celsius. thats really freakin hot here and dry. Now the hottest it gets in the mid after-noon is low 30s so its not quite as bad.
MommyToAshley replied: LOL! I can see her looking like the sandman going back and forth between the two. LOL!
The sand box and pool are Ashley's two favorite activities as well.
