her sleeping situation is much better now, she knows to sleep at night and we have been able to put her down in her crib - she will sleep for 4 or 5 hours consecutively and then wake up to be fed and changed. Things are going a lot more smoothly!

well we were having a hard time with her days and nights, they were all mixed up so I used the bathing suggestion, bathed her in the morning and she was WIDE awake after that, and that really helped us to get her to sleep at night. Then we would try to set her down in her bassinette to sleep at night, and she hated that. I wasn't comfortable with ehr sleeping in bed with us, we have a very small bed and a dog who sleeps there and I was worried about something happening to her - then one night Carl got the GENIUS idea to set her down on top of the Boppy pillow I have - thjat way she feels like she is still being cradled in one ofour arms. So at night we set the mood, turn the lights down and I make her a warm bottle. We lay in bed and I feed her, and then after I start by laying her on my chest - that makes her very sleepy. Then I switch to her cradled in my arm - when she is good and asleep, I gently pick her up and transfer her to her crib, nestled in the Boppy pillow. she sleeps very soundly! For some reason she doesn't like the bassinette but she will sleep very well in the crib with the Boppy - we outsmarted her!!!
