Pics of the bathroom redo
kit_kats_mom wrote: Ok, the yellow paint I got seems quite a bit brighter now that it is all over the walls but I still like it. Also, I've not hung this cabinet yet because I painted it last night and I hate the color of it. I'm off to get some blue paint and give it another go. LOL
kit_kats_mom replied: Another peek at the tiny bathroom
kit_kats_mom replied: I couldn't find any art I liked that would go with the bathroom. I found this frame at Wal-mart for $4 & decided I'd make my own art. LOL
I scanned in that picture that K's sitter took last week and then used photoshop to put different effects on it (watercolor, sketch, noise) then I used the "diffuse light" option and added the colors. Printed them out on regular paper, trimmed & put them in the fram. Viola! I think it's my favorite part of the bathroom and probably the easiest. LOL
Boys r us replied: Looks GREAT!!!
jdkjd replied: The picture is awesome. You'll have to show me how to do that!
You are just so darn crafty.
coasterqueen replied: I LOVE that color. I wish DH would let me have color on my walls, lol. He likes the plain white look.
It's looking great. I absolutely LOVE that pic of K that you did!!!! If I could only be that creative, lol. I have photoshop but have no idea how to use it. ROFL.

ediep replied: bathroon looks great! I especially love the pic!
kit_kats_mom replied: Thanks everyone!
Karen, just open photoshop & start messing around. The When you find something you like, write it down or better yet, start a word document & include a copy of each effect. As long as you are just working with a copy of a photo, you can't really screw it up. There's always the UNDO command. The "Filter" menu command does some pretty neato stuff. That's what I used.
That's all I did...messed around. :-)
My2Beauties replied: That is beautiful! DF and I are in the process of buying a home and you just gave me a great decorating idea. Thanks!
Kaitlin'smom replied: looks great and I LOVE the art work!
kit_kats_mom replied: painted the cabinet today. Whew! Dh has to hang it tonight. I suspect I lack the "level" gene. I can see when something is hung crooked but the last few things I've tried to hang have ended up lopsided.
BTW, I bought the cabinet at Target and it was white. I dry brushed it lime green at first then dry brushed the blue over it. It's pretty cool & adds a texture to the more clean lines of the rest of the room. That was my first foray into faux painting.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I like that better good job!
oh now I am gonna have to play around with phot shop and make some art work of my own to give to those who adore pictures of Kaitlin
