Photoshop - random thoughts

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I've been trying to do some stuff in photoshop (I also have paint shop pro). It is HARD and so frustrating. I found some great tutorials, but oh my goodness!! I'm really having quite the time even with tutorials.

Has anyone here mastered it yet?

luvmykids replied: NO! And it's driving me crazy b/c I can usually find my way around most programs pretty quick. mad.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Same here! I wish I had more time to put into it. rolleyes.gif I have a whole new respect for the people who make blinkies and digital scrapbook pages. blush.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Not sure which version we had of Photoshop (it came with our scanner) but I could not figure any of it out, I recently uninstalled it because it was getting aggravated with it. tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied: Nope! It frustrates me to all get out because I've always been one that you could give me a piece of software and I could master it in a day. BUT I never have enough time to sit down w/this one and when I do the tutorials blow me away. dry.gif

Jamison'smama replied: It is hard. My MIL is an expert but I am certainly not!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm glad I'm not the only one. blush.gif

luvmykids replied:
Thats the whole reason I got it was for the scrapbooking b/c I thought maybe I'd actually get around to it, but forget it! At least "manually" I have a chance of finishing in my lifetime, it'll keep my occupied when I retire. rolleyes.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I haven't mastered it but I am fairly comfortable with it. For Scrapbooking pages I typically use one of the specific scrapbooking programs ( I have 2) because they involve a little less thinking smile.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I'm pretty comfortable with editing pictures in Photoshop, but just little things like taking out the red eye, cropping, and brightening or darkening them and so on. That's pretty much all I'm wanting to do with it right now anyways ~ Dh is the one who really uses it. He has a book called The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers that has helped him a lot. wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I use PhotoShop on a daily basis for work... what do you need help with?

huggybugboy replied: I can help a little! PM me if you want.

MomToMany replied: I can make a basic blinkie, but nothing too fancy. And I can't figure out digital scrapbook pages either. But it's usually a lack of time to actually try it.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm wanting to design my own papers and stuff. tongue.gif I guess I need to learn the basics before I start that. laugh.gif And I never thought about buying that book. That's a good idea. thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have only fittled with it, I just dont have much time to sit down and learn it.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: I have paint shop pro 9 and I can only do a few things with it. I am in a lot of psp groups that have great tutorial links. I know that I will never be a pro, they are some complicated programs!!!

jcc64 replied: Photoshop is a pretty complicated program, but can do so many amazing things. I feel like I'll never know everything there is to know, so I just use the tutorials when I want to do something specific. I use it everyday for my job, and love it b/c it's such a versatile program.
There are LOTS of books about Photoshop tailored to specific needs. I use one just for textile designers. Check on Amazon.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Thanks! thumb.gif
