Penpals - for kids
lisar wrote: Does anyone want to do penpals with our kids? Lexi wants a penpal, but I am just not wanting her to just "find" someone online. I would rather know that its a kid she is writing to. KWIM? We could do penpals on here with our kids.
stella6979 replied: That is such a great idea Lisa! If Avery was older I would definitely sign up, but as of right now she can only draw a circle and she's working on the letter P, so she would not be a very fun penpal.
mckayleesmom replied: If you find a child that is just learning to write like Mckaylee...then we are in....
mckayleesmom replied: They could always send cute cards to each other...Mckaylee and Russell get super stoked to get cards in the mail.
They can be Card pals.
PrairieMom replied: I would love to do this with Ben, but I think it would be best if we could match them up by age as much as possible. It would be so lame for a 5th grader to get a kindergartner KWIM? So, Ben is in. We will have to wait for Al, she only does squiggles and circles.
PrairieMom replied: sounds perfect for Ben, but you better proof read her stuff first, knowing that girl... I don't want Mckaylee sending my boy any bad ideas.
mckayleesmom replied: She will need me to tell her how to write it anyways....so that will be the proof writing...
Kaitlin'smom replied: Kailtin has been wanting one for a long time, I dont know how much writing she will do but she loves to make pictures, and woudl be mailing alot of those.
sign her up she is in K is will be 6 the end of Dec
luvmykids replied: Sign us up....Kylie and Colt are six/first grade. Macie would love to do it too, she's four and just learning to write but loves to write words, names and draw pics.
lisar replied: Lexi is 7 so they could be a match if you wanted.
luvmykids replied: Sounds good! I'll pm you.
Kaitlin'smom replied: who is going to match the kids up? is anyone heading this?
DillsMommy replied: That's a cute idea. You can count Dylan in. I'm sure he would love to do it! He's six, in first grade, and loves getting stuff in the mail.
sparkys2boys replied: My boys are in also. Logan is 10, anyone else have kids that age? He's in grade 5. Cameron is 6 and in grade 1.
My3LilMonkeys replied: My kids are a little too young for it, but I'd be willing to volunteer to match up kids if no one else does.
austins mom replied: Im in. I just talked with Austin about pen pals yestersay and he didnt know what they were.
He is 9 and in the 4th grade.. Just please do not match me with LisaR. She is my sister and we all see each other every weekend.
And just a note for those whose kids have a hard time writting. Use post cards also.
lisar replied: I will head this up. I will assign the kids. No problem.
Everyone PM me your address and the ages of your kids, so that I can match them by age.
Also does there need to be any rules? What kind of rules would yall like?
ZandersMama replied: zan is only 4 but would love it im sure, he loves drawing pics and sending them to my aunt pauline.....so it wouldnt really be letters but he would love it if anyone is interested.
lisar replied: Dont forget to sign up in the other thread and send me your info
MyBabeMaddie replied: This is such a cute idea, I know Madison would love to get a picture in the mail but she probably wouldn't understand who was sending it to her, maybe soon though!
lisar replied: I am starting to match them up, so check your PM's. I dont have ages and address's on some of them, so I pm'd you asking for the info.
lisar replied: austin is 9 so that will be a perfect match for the 2 of them.
lisar replied: I have assigned them all except for 4. I have Austin and Logan and Cameron and Ben. I want to put Logan and Austin together because they are the same age. And I am going to put Ben and Cameron together. They are close in age. I am just waiting on address's for some of them.
