Parenting advice - Besides our favourite Parenting Forum

CantWait wrote: I usually turn to books, cause I love to read. Dr. Sears has been my favourite so far. A friend lent this to me because she saw what a hard time I had with Anthony and his clinginess. I feel a lot better now knowing reading Sears opionions on my worries.

I rarely turn to my mom, however I do like to hear the when you were a baby.......stories.

CantWait replied: duh wrong forum, sorry wacko.gif

A&A'smommy replied: i voted for friends because anything i really need advice on i come here, because i know a lot of you have btdt i dont always trust authors to have btdt a lot of those kind of people just use a bit of common knowlege and opinion. And its better to get advice from people who have btdt.

MommyToAshley replied: What forum do you want it in, I can move it.

I read a lot of child development books, parenting mags, and I try to catch the specials on Discovery Health or TLC.

CantWait replied: General Infant Parenting please

MomToJade&Jordan replied: First and formost I ask my Mom. She had three and also worked for a Ped. for a very long time. She usually gives really good advice. She got me through the first few months. I think I didn't go two days in the beginning there without caling my Mom.

MomToMany replied: I voted for more than 1. I usually turn to books and magazines for more info. I never ask my mom anything, because her opinion is a bit outdated. I do like hearing about all us kids growing up though.

ediep replied: I voted more than 1, I usually ask my sister (mom of 2), Dad (dad to 4 and a pharmacist), I also read books and magazines, my 2 best friends have babies a few months older than Jay, so I can always turn to them too

juliajaj replied: I'm with M2A. I read a lot of child development books, parenting magazines & information on the web. I also ask my mom, other moms & our ped. for advice. I tend to be an information junkie.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Everything I read/hear about/see I question and questions until I'm satisfied with the answer, whether it be by friends, doctors, internet, books...whatever. thwe more the better. smile.gif

~CrazieMama~ replied: rolling_smile.gif I picked more than 1. I get my info from books, mags, friends and internet of course. There is so much info out there that I just can not get enough.

Linda replied: I picked more than one too.
Sometimes i get it from my family or friends and sometimes from magazines!
