Paranoid about ultrasound pics. Anyone disagree? - Gender Ultrasound
wintersnow wrote: Hello Everyone I am 26 weeks pregnant - due April 18. I have had several ultrasounds thus far and 2 were done by different people. I have been told I am having a girl...which is what my husband and I wanted SO bad! But we also believe that baby's are blessings and we would have been happy with another boy too. Even though I have been told I am having a girl, I am still not going to believe it until I actually see her in the flesh! I don't know why, but I am still paranoid that the gender could be wrong. Anyone else feel this way or am I just being overly paranoid and stupid? I know there's so many more things I could be worrying about. Anyways, I am going to post my pictures and if anyone disagress that it's a girl, please let me know. Based upon these pictures is there any way that "boy parts" could be hiding??? I really would like some opinions from you ladies Thanks for listening to me ramble!
(sorry for the blurriness)
This 1st pic. was taken at 20wks/6days (between baby's legs) http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...4/IMG_0961.jpg
This was at 24 weeks http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...4/IMG_0958.jpg
This was just taken at 25wks/6days (the tech was trying to focus on what she thought was the labia - to the right of the pic) http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...4/IMG_0971.jpg
MomToMany replied: Hello, and welcome!
None of your links are working. I think you are being a little too paranoid & should just wait & see what the birth brings you. Just be thankful your baby is healthy. It's worries like this that made me to NOT want to know.
luvmykids replied: I couldn't get the pictures to come up. It's been known to happen, but all three of my kids were what they said they'd be.
wintersnow replied: Sorry - here's th links - these should work

wintersnow replied: luvmykids,
I *am* thankful my baby is healthy - don't get me wrong. I just wanted some opinions is all.
kit_kats_mom replied: 3 lines usually mean girl. U/s is not 100% though
luvmykids replied: I'd say it's a girl.
moped replied: I would day it is pretty hard for any of us to tell - and it really doesn't matter, as long as you have a healthy baby. If they say a girl it is usually about 90% accurate.
CosmetologyMommy replied: I was paranoid too because they were not absolutely sure I was having a boy but he was a boy! I think ultrasounds are pretty accurate but if you are very worried maybe only by neutral clothing or keep the tags and receipts on everything girl related! Hope you get your little girl!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: i'm no u/s technician - but the second pic has one clear hamburger!!
the 3rd one seems to harve a rather prominent labia.... i'd say girl.
5littleladies replied: My guess was girl and I looked at the pictures before I read all of your post telling what it was. I have 4 girls and that is what our ultrasound photos looked like.
wintersnow replied: Thanks so much everyone
huggybugboy replied: I couldnt tell you either way. But I was totally paranoid about Miles too before he was born. I was certain that he was a boy, until dh tatooed his name on his arm. Then I freaked and was sure it was going to be a girl. I think it's a normal pregnancy thing to feel that way.
MyLuvBugs replied: It's been known to happen. We were told that the US are only 80% correct on identifying the sex. But that's an average. Our case was right. They said girl, we've got a girl. But my aunt was told with both her pregnancies that she was having a girl, and she's got 2 boys. I hope you get what you want.
CantWait replied: BEATS ME. However I was told Anthony was a boy, and I swore up and down it was a girl for the longest time.....well as you can see, Anthony is a boy...lol
MomToJade&Jordan replied: That looks like a girl to me. Both of my girls looked like that on u/s. I went through this with my first. I kept thinking she was a boy for the last few weeks of my pg. In Fact when she was born no one told me that shewas a girl. I had to ask so is she still a girl?
CAMSMOM1 replied: I say it looks just like a GIRL!!!
Congradulations!!!
SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: By the looks of the u/s i'd say girl BUT with my 2nd they told me 100% GIrl and HE was 100% boy and i always knew in my gut that it was a boy.
coasterqueen replied: I say girl, but to be honest I never could tell whatsoever on the sono's with my girls. I just trusted what my doc said and she was 100% confident with my 1st and somewhere in teh 90%'s confident with Megan.
daycare mom replied: They won't tell us the sex where I live, and we don't get US pics to take home either. I'd just like to know so I don't keep referring to this baby as "it"!!
A&A'smommy replied: That is definitly a girl!!
jem0622 replied: Definitely a little lady in there! Trust me!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Looks like a girl to me! I have my "gender be told" U/S tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous myself. I'm hoping girl, so I too am afraid that they'll say girl, I'll run out and buy a bunch of girl stuff and then the baby is a boy. Now I would love a boy too, but I'm such a freak when it comes to planning! I like to wash everything and have it put away before the baby comes, so the idea of keeping tags on just in case makes me feel overwhelmed.
wintersnow replied: Thanks again everyone. I feel better. I had another sonogram this week and the tech said 100% girl I still won't believe it until I see her in the flesh. I do not know what's wrong with me! When my son was born I was told ONE time that he was a boy and I never questioned it again! I have no idea why I am so paranoid and obsessive this time around. I guess because I really want a girl and I can't believe I have one actually inside of me! LOL. I keep looking at the ultrasound pic. and seeing if any boy parts have shown up! Am I crazy or what!?
MichaelsMommy replied: Looks like a girl to me!! Can't miss it! Congrats!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well I can't help you because I'm no good at reading ultrasounds. I'm just amazed you've had so many! Is there some sort of problem that you keep getting them done? My Dr. would only give me 2 with both girls, 1 around 8-12 weeks and one around 20-24.
wintersnow replied: I had to go in extra times due to the fact that they could not get a clear picture of the chambers in the heart due to the baby's position. Also, I had a 3D/4D done as well.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I see. Those 3D/4D ones are great, aren't they? We had one with Brooke and I loved it!
