Pampered Chef - anyone use their products?
DillsMommy wrote: My friend is having a Pampered chef party, just wondering if anyone has used their products and is there any can't-live-without items I should get? I heard the food chopper is really good. But I haven't really heard of this company until just recently. Just Wondering...
gr33n3y3z replied: I use the pizza stone when I think of it the 2 in one salt and pepper grinder didnt last long I have the 9x13 stone bake thing never used it yet lol but their gadgets are pretty cool tho I have alot of those Have fun and book a party so you can get a lot of the stuff free
coasterqueen replied: I had some of their stones but Dh and I found it gross that you never use soap to clean them. They are supposedly sanitary that way, but just not our style.
I love their gadgets, though. We have the food chopper, the apple slicer is heaven for kids, can opener, I have 2 of their measuring cups (one reg size and one mini), some of their serving utensils, I have their pots/pans, I love the mini strainer that fits right on cans, the list could go on and on. I'm addicted to them and I hate to cook.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I like the oil sprayer I don't know why but little gadgets like that fasinate me Have some of their pots and pans but recently got hooked on stainless steel. Their stuff is Ok but the prices were kinda high for their cook ware IMO! They do have some 'fun' kitchen items tho. I guess it depends on how much you want to cook.
Karen~ A friend of mine thought so too and cleaned them with soap because she thought it would not be a big deal. She made a dinner and cake for friends and family about a month later using her stone cassorole dishes and the food tasted like Dawn! It was horrible but ITA with you it kinda freaks me out that you don't use soap on them
Our Lil' Family replied: I have SO many of their products. I LOVE their mix n scraper!! I have a couple stones...I too had to get over the not washing part. I also love the pitchers, the measuring cups and spoons, the ice cream scooper (great buy!) and the soap dispenser thing that makes it foamy...although I have been through 3 of those, it seems like the spring doesn't last well. They started selling them with two pumps!
Anyway, have fun!!!
huggybugboy replied: I have a ton of pampered chef stuff (my cousin used to be a consultant or whatever you call it.) Anyway, I can't live without the microwave steamer thingy. Its plastic and wonderful.
coasterqueen replied: I agree the cookware is very expensive. The only way I got it was to have a party. I got it dirt cheap doing it that way.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I use their stoneware, garlic press, mixing/pouring bowl, measuring spoons, the all-measure cup, and I think I have their chip clips. I love their products! Oh, I have their food chopper too and I love it!
luvmykids replied: I love their stuff too, the no soap deal doesn't really bother me because I use scalding hot water so I figure it's pretty clean .... their gadgets are awesome, the food chopper, apple corer, microwave steamer, pitcher (what's it called, the one you kind of pump to make frozen juice?) you name it, I love it
PrairieMom replied: Ive heard really good things about their microwave pot for browning hamburger, but I haven't personally tried it. I have 2 of each of the batter bowls with the lids, and I love them. They are constantly dirty becuase I use them all the time! The paring knives are nice too.
mom21kid2dogs replied: I've always washed mine in our regular dishwater with no noticeable effect on them.. I use my stone about 3-4X a month.
coasterqueen replied: I've heard good things about it too, that's why I bought it a few years ago, but always forgot to use the dern thing. Now we don't use the microwave, so I guess I'll never find out.
amymom replied: I use their measuring spoons, tsp & TBL. I use food scrapers, and the pitcher is really, really great.
I saw their stones, ice cream scoop and apple corer/peeler at a party once and was able to find similar items at a local gadget store for ALOT less money. The ice cream scoop is the BEST.
Pampered Chef does a nice job and their parties are usually very yummy!!!
Jackie012007 replied: I'm a big grapefruit eater, and when carl and I moved into our apartment, i got this AWESOME PC grapefruit knife... it has a small knife on one side and then a serrated scoop on the other side, makes getting the fruit out wicked easy... I LOVE that thing, used it every week for over a year now!
PS: Cheryl (mom21kid2dogs)I LOVE that picture of your daughter in your siggie... such a cutie
