That's exactly how we celebrated bdays when we were kids. Mom would let the bday child pick what he/she wanted for dinner (I always picked Mom's homemade lasagna) and what kind of cake we wanted her to make for us (I always picked chocolate pudding cake). We celebrated with just our family - but our family was rather large so it was a party in itself. LOL

Kayla and Abby are just beautiful! I love their blonde hair.

My kids get to pick their birthday dinner too. We had tacos for Kayla's dinner! And yeah, we have a somewhat large family too LOL.

I just read that you allow them to pick their dinner we do the same here also

Wow -- she's getting so big! But, what a sweetie pie. It looks like a great party. I remember having parties like that and getting to pick dinner when I was a kid too.
