Our vacation, anniversary and L's 2nd Bday - update

I've passed on much of the mommy knowlege I've learned on here to my cousin and his wife who have a boy and girl (8 mos and 18 mos ) but who live in Guatemaela and have a crummy internet connection. They've expressed their appreciation to you all.

On Thursday, Lauren was crabby and slept for nothing but I figured it was because we were in a hotel. The next night, she was wiggling around and at 1am I had enough brain power to recall the way she acted during her last ear infection. Off to the ER we went, got there at 1:30am, confirmed a nasty ear infection, and got back to the hotel at 6am. My mom went to get the meds for me because I was simply pooped. Lauren felt much better and slept pretty well for the rest of the trip.

New Years is our anniversary so my mom and aunt watched the girls for us and we went to a party that our friends hosted. It was nice to see everyone all in one place. I had a couple drinks but we left at 11:30 and rang in the new year in the hotel with my mom then went to sleep.

This morning, we had a small birthday party for Lauren at my moms house. Carrie ann and Jenn came with their girls and it was loud but fun. 8 kids all running around a house made for the accoustical properties of the baby grand...well....it's loud and chaotic. but K had fun seeing her friends, Lauren had a nice birthday and I enjoyed seeing everyone. I met Jenn and Carrie-Ann because of these three little trouble makers....and I wouldn't trade their friendships for anything...or the kids. :rollsmile:
