I got a call yesterday afternoon to have my application in by today. I printed it offline and started filling it in. I got home and Shawn and I sat down and had a VERY long time. (I had the neighbor come get Annika for 2 hours.) I pointed out the pros and cons. I told him it wasn't going to be easy but we have a world of support. After putting everything on paper we decided together that is was the best thing to go for it.

I turned in my application today. I have my interview board on Monday at 0945 hours. My PAT (Physical Agilty Test) will be on the 21st of Feb. So if all goes well and I get accepted into the program (which shouldn't be a problem since about 50% of the department has already sent up recommendation letters to HR) I will start the Academy in August.

Rocky, due to the stenous nature of the academy you can't be pregos and go through at the same time. I thought about that one.

Thank you everyone for the encouragment. I really needed it. I'm so glad I can count on everyone here. My mom told me if he was still bucking it to go anyway.

THAT IS SO WONDERFUL!!! You will do great, but KEEP up the workouts and work on upper body strength (you likely already do)...so ignore my ramblings! If you can get to where they do their physical training/obstacle course perhaps you can practice occasionally there? Just an idea. Wish you all of the best!

Thank you I have already talked to the training coordinator and we are going to get together on Friday (tomorrow) to do a mock PAT test. He is also going to show me some pointers on the 150 pound dummy drag. That's 150 pounds of totally dead weight for 50 feet.
