Our Playroom - pics attached

Boo&BugsMom wrote: This last month hubby and my father were busy making a playroom in the basement. Tanner's room is going to be shared with the baby (two bedroom house sleep.gif ) so we had to make room for baby by making a space for Tanner and his zillions of things. The pics attached are not with all his things and before it was all organized, but you get the idea. Here is a before pic (gross, I know) and some after pics. I have to attach all 4 pics seperately so be patient. smile.gif

FYI: pics of the boys room is in the April Expecting Club forum. biggrin.gif

Here is the before pic.

Boo&BugsMom replied: First after pic

Boo&BugsMom replied: Second after pic. The cabinet they made is where the water softener is enclosed.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Last one biggrin.gif

Calimama replied: Good job! Does he like it? I used to scared of the basement when I was his age. blush.gif
That cabinet is soooooo creative!! It completely hides it!

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Luckily, he loves it. He has no problem being down there, even alone. Before it was built I would have him go down there and get me things and help me with laundry and stuff to get use to it. I think it helped.

siblingtooolivia replied: That is awesome - and great that he will go downstairs alone!!! We had to turn our living room (we have a colonial) into a playroom for Olivia and we now also have a changing table in the dinign room rolling_smile.gif Amazing how they overtake things - but you use the space you have the best way you can!

TheOaf66 replied: wow ohmy.gif I think it looks great, your DH really did a good job tongue.gif

BTW, where did you get the curtains that are in the pics? happy.gif Are they black/brown plaid?

Boo&BugsMom replied:
They are a hunter/sage green and tan plaid. I got them at JcPenny.com. They do have a black and brown plaid though if I remember correctly. They were originally tab-tops, but I cut the tabs off because I didn't like how they hung low on the crappy windows. smile.gif

sparkys2boys replied: Great space that u have now to use!! Way to go on the makeover of it!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

Here's the link. I was partially right. They don't have the curtains that color in the plaid, but they do have another one below it that is black and tan checkered. Of course, now they are on sale AFTER I already bought them. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
