Our Lowes Complaint

So, I've just sent an email to all three of our local news channels in the hopes that one of them may be interested in doing a "buyer beware" story....actually what I'm really hoping is that the news channel will contact Lowes and Lowes will fix the floor to get me to shut up.

If the news channels don't do anything I will first speak to an attorney friend and see if there is anything we can do from that angle and then...it's all over the web I go sharing my story and blasting Lowes <wringing hands and laughing maniacally>

I would. OR at the very least, I'd read the contract closely, take samples home and match them to what is delivered before installation etc.

kit_kats_mom replied: Whooo. I crack myself up. I was chopping veggies for dinner and thinking about all of the things I can do to make myself feel better about this whole Lowes thing. Some of you know my history with revenge and how much I enjoyed being creative in the past. Well, this has given me the opportunity to put my creative powers to work again.

I sent this as part of an email to their customer service department and I'm SO going to do it.

I plan to put "LOWES PUT THE WRONG TILE IN MY HOUSE AND REFUSES TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE" on my car and park in front of your store all weekend.

amynicole21 replied: Have you registered a complaint with the BBB? That really sucks. We were going to go with them for all of the same reasons you listed in your letter. I'm beginning to rethink that though. Crap!

That's on my list of things to do...right after "set girls on wrong tile floor, give them lollipops, take lollipops away and take pictures of the ensuing drama. then send said picture to Lowes with caption...you make us all so sad...we hate this floor...we hope you choke"

I would reconsider it, Amy. They totally screwed up a floor (wood laminate) of my friend's. Eventually, they got Lowes to refund the price and had to have it redone by a decent flooring contractor. It's been a total PITB and it's taken up her entire summer.

I really hope they fix their mistake...this really sucks!! I used to love Lowe's, but we started going to Home Depot and now I will never go back. Just remind them you have friends all over the COUNTRY. What a shame

I do love some of your ideas...very fuuny.

good luck and I truly hope they fix it, or I will be anothe rone who wont use them. Actually I am already leary of using them for any home improvement. Simply beacuase when we were getting estimates for fencing they wanted us to go to the store fill out an application and give the $50 for the estimate. NOT refundable. Needless to say we did not even take them into consideration.
