Open mouth..insert foot! Very funny! - Why does this ALWAYS happen to ME???

So anyhow..onto the story..at work we have 2 different email providers, lotus notes for some people who need to be able to get attatchments and then a rinky dink emulator based email for everyone. Well, today my best friend got lotus notes and when the IT guy was done installing it on her PC, she asked me to shoot her an email to her Lotus notes... So I did..my email popped up a thing saying her address was ambiguous and to select which one I wanted to send it to....I assumed that one was her normal email and the other said Lotus notes..so I selected lotus notes and sent it..well we always call each other stupid things and do and say just completely random stuff to each other, just for laughs! So in my email I said, "What's up Heffer G?"

OMG..anyhow, I kind of cracked myself up when I sent it. Then she and I both had to go to a meeting. So we went and when we got back, I signed back onto my pc and I pulled my email up and low and behold, she had responded to my email..I was anxious to see what she wrote back considering that I was anticipating a good laugh from it. BOY DID I GET MORE THAN I BARGAINED FOR!!!!!!

The email said.." Good Morning! I think you've got the wrong "Heffer G". You're trying to reach Jennifer ____ in VA and I'm Jennifer _____ in Charlotte, Nc.

Boy did we cry we laughed so hard! My head still hurts from laughing so hard!!!! Our whole floor heard us laughing and we had tears just streaming down our face, I looked at the bottom of this other jennifer's email to me and her title is HR director..nice nichole..nice..call the HR director a heffer!!!!

So I ended up writing her back and explaining that I was sending a test email to my best friend and that I was really sorry. and she wrote back and said, that's okay..I understand I needed a good laugh this morning!


While this is a funny story, nothing will ever top me accidentally emailing the biggest of big bosses at my company and asking him if he had ever hung a wet bath towel on his ______ after getting out of the shower! boy was that embarrassing and I was oh so lucky I didn't get fired!
