Sal and I have since come to the relization that the whole homebirth thing was STUPID! I wish I would have listened to the people that told me that. I am sure it would have saved us a lot of heartache!!
On a better note our "little" Isaia is HUGE!! My oh my what a difference a year can make!!!
Hope you all have a happy new year! We are relaxing at home watching Mama Mia!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I actually don't remember. No doubt I had a drink in one hand!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Last New Years Eve dh and I played monopoly and I got super drunk and Im so not a drinker...but it was a fun night! This year its monopoly minus the liquor!
msoulz replied: I can't remember what I had for lunch much less a year ago . . . but I see why you remember!!
HuskerMom replied: Last year I was a little over 6 months pregnant and Dh had to work that night so it wasn't too exciting. Tonight I'm on here, I've got a Jack and Coke and Dh and his friend are watching Dog the Bounty Hunter. Not very exciting.
PrairieMom replied: working.
MoonMama replied: I think the same place I am now. Home.
PrairieMom replied: come to think of it, I was working 2 years ago today too. Huh.
A&A'smommy replied: I was probably in bed I was almost 5months pregnant and we had just come home from Missouri I was misserable this year I went to a party and had a few beers not that much fun and NOT worth it but the people were nice
CantWait replied: Stayed home most of the night, then headed out to the riverfront around 11:00ish, and watched the fireworks ring in the New Year. Than took half an hour to drive to our home which was 5 minutes away because of all the cars trying to get out
DillsMommy replied: Last new years eve Peyton was just getting over RSV after being in the hospital for 2 nights. I was in bed by 9:00, we were exhausted.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Jess, I wouldn't say it's stupid or a stupid idea in the least. I know MANY ladies who have homebirthed and have had wonderful experiences. One friend planned on homebirth, but ended up not being able. For women without complications who are not at high risk, it can be a wonderful experience...BUT, it's just not for everyone. One woman at our church homebirthed all 7 of her kids, without complications. They have such crappy insurance too so for them it was all worth it. Maybe in the future if you have more, you may be able to? Don't beat yourself up.
Let's see...New Years a year ago...I think we went out to eat with friends...without kids as well, then came back to our house to play cards.

I don't think homebirth is a bad idea at all, but in some cases it is not ideal if it is high risk pregnancy or complications.
