Advertisements and those arches are strong magnets for kids. It seems like Christian can spot them (the arches) from a mile away! LOL When we are out and about & need to grab a quick filler, we ask Christian what she wants she will say "mac n' cheese at McDonalds"

Someone has made them a killing off of kids and the allure of the golden arches.

MommyToAshley replied: They offer Mac'n cheese at your McD's? We tend to go there a lot more than I would like to admit for playdates. At least they have the apples and yogurt now so I don't feel as guilty. Ashley loves McD's too, their marketing is brilliant.

I am the opposite of you, I don't care for Burger King's hamburgers or chicken at all. I do like their salads better than the ones at McD though.

I have brainwashed the girls into thinking mac n' cheese is a staple that you can pick up just anywhere, since we have it more times than we should. That and at restaraunts that do not have a great selection other than chicken tenders, or mac n' cheese, or ham/cheeseburgers- we tend to order mac n' cheese for them. The others would be a waste of

I like the menu at Wendy's now, too. Hamburgers in moderation are fine, but I like that they have the choice of a ham or turkey sandwich (although we have yet to try them) along with the girls faves of mandarin oranges or yogurt.

OOH and now the whopper Jr is on the dollar menu thingy, I eat like two of those ... never really liked fast food until I became pg and now it's all I want to eat!!!

Brias3 replied: The marketing campaign they run for their toys is pretty good too. The minute my kids see a commercial, they are begging me to go because of the Happy Meal toys advertised. I'm not personally a huge fast food fan but if I had to choose, I like Wendy's and probably McD's comes in second as far as burger places go.

I do have to say I love the influx of Panera Bread and Noodles and Company type places around. Though those aren't the absolute healthiest for you either, I like that I can go grab something fast that I like and the kids will eat (bagels, pasta, etc.)
