Okay...she's a big girl - (so what?)

Mommy2BAK wrote: I swear if one more person comes up to me that I don't even know and tries to tell me that Blakely is a "big girl" or "chubby" or says "look at those fat little cheeks", "look at those fat little legs" I will SCREAM!!!! People even say "she's going to be a BIG girl"

So what if she's chubby... I don't need everyone coming up to me just to let me know. It is kind of starting to hurt my feelings. bawling.gif

I was a really fat baby.

Uhh I am just fed up! dry.gif

Stacimonkey replied: UGH! Some people just dont' think at all when they open their mouths!!! My DD was a chunk until she started crawing and people would always say something about her! Drove me NUTS!! Just try to ignore them, or think up something clever to say, like 'Yeah, that Creatin is really working!' LOL! Just chalk it up to that they're just not using their noodles and try not to let it bother you! Blakely is just georgous, don't let them get you down! She's a gem!

Mommy2BAK replied: Awe, Thank you so much Staci!!

I might try that one about the Creatin!!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Jamison'smama replied: Yep, Jamison looked like a chunky monkey before she became mobile----her cheeks and thighs were wonderfully chubby--I miss those baby rolls on her thighs---they grow out of it---and if not, like you said--so what!

Blakely is BEAUTIFUL !!

Josie83 replied: Ugh how rude . . . sometimes tho, i don't think ppl will be saying it in an offensive way, I think her cheeks are absolutely adorable! Don't let ppl get to you, like everyone has said Blakely's lovely and anyway, who cares what other people think? xx

MomToMany replied: I'm sorry you get those comments. I get the opposite ones. "Oh, she's so LITTLE!!" when I tell them how old she is. I just say she's perfectly healthy and walk away.

Mommy2BAK replied:
I may start saying the same thing because Blakely's ped. said that she was very healthy!

MomToMany replied:
thumb.gif So LOOKS very healthy (and SO very adorable wub.gif ). I hope it works for you as good as it does for me. I don't think there's anything wrong with a big baby. Ugh, people have to learn to keep their mouths shut.

A&A'smommy replied: Okay I thought I replied but I guess I didn't (kinda glad because I don't remember what I said blush.gif my dad was talking to me!) Anyway your little girl is BEAUTIFUL and healthy I think it is VERY rude when people make comments like that. People STILL say that about Alyssa and she isn't big she is just tall, and she never really was "big" she was just bigger. Anyway that bugs me too!!

mummy2girls replied: Oh I know what you mean my dear! jennas dad bugged jenna (of all people) because of her chub. Jenna was so chubby and chunky as a baby but once she started to crawl and then walk she has lost all of that chub. And now she is really skinny and her waist is so tiny she is still in 12 months pants ...LOL. So dont worry ... They will stop. Some people just dont think before they speak!

MommyToAshley replied: I just love baby fat... it soooo cute! Maybe I am biased because my daughter was a chunker too. But, I loved it and thought it was adorable. Don't let other people's comments bother you. Blakely is absolutely beautiful!

Wanna see some chub:

ediep replied: I didn't get that comment a whole lot, but when I did it bothered me too!! I remember someone coming up to be saying boy, he is cute but he is soooooo chubby!! I was like....no, he's not.

anyway, try not to let it bother you, it is just a way that people are saying she is cute!

Emeraldsmom replied: I think your baby girl looks just perfect. Don't listen to anyone's stupid comments.

kit_kats_mom replied: I think people just have a wierd thing about babies and their sizes. My DD has always been on the small side and at 27 mos, she's just over 23 lbs. People are always asking how old she is and when I tell them they always say "wow, she's so tiny" or something like that. Drives me nuts. Just when we are trying to teach our kids that it's what's on the inside that counts and that we should not judge others based on their appearances, some stupid adult comes along and negates the lesson. mad.gif

My2Beauties replied: Well I have a chunky baby myself, 13 months and 25 lbs. People say this to me all the time and yes it's nerve racking, and they always talk about how she is gonna be big-boned and this and that and I'm like so what, she's gonna be beautiful, intelligent, and a perfect little person in my eyes nomatter what. People get on my nerves with that stuff, as long as my ped says she's healthy then I'm fine with her weight!

bucky replied: Our son is only 9 months old and is 26lbs, suprisingly the only thing I've really heard is, "awww such a healthy sized baby!" The doc says he's fine and not worried yet, so neither am I (well, sort of)
