Okay, here's the deal

I looked on peeonastick.com, and it shows some positives...some look just like mine. As i said, very faint. I know a line is a line, even if it's faint....if it's real.

As I said, I'm not gonna get my hopes up too high until I get my husband to take one. ALTHOUGH there have been times when I took tests and couldn't see one at all...so maybe this is real.

Danalana replied: Yeah....let me clarify that that's just a picture similar to mine. Mine is very faint, BUT it's only day 24 of my cycle...so only 11 days past ovulation. Dang it, I wish it was time for Richard to come home. I need somebody to pee on this test. Maybe I can get my sister-in-law to do it! She works at our church, which is right down the road! I don't know, though, it has beena rollercoaster for all of us. I think his brother and sister-in-law want is for us as bad as we want it. Maybe I'll just wait and see if richard is pregnant.
I just noticed the other post...maybe I won't waste it. I just want to see if i can imagine one with him. I have had some bad experiences with pregnancy tests.

PrairieMom replied: A faint line is still a line. You are way early to test, so I would wait a few more days and test again. With Alexis I had a faint line, DH didn't even believe me that it was there. I am proof that faint lines totally count. I ended up getting a digital test, there was no doubt there.  Hang onto your hope and positive thinking, and test in a couple days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

hopefulmomtobe replied: When I was trying to get pregnant and wanting it soooo badly, I kept thinking I saw a line, but when I showed it to other people, they looked at me like I was coocoo. I would even hold it up to the sunshine, bright light to see if I could see it.
I agree - DONT waste your stick on someone elses pee!! Pee again in 2 days (I KNOW it is hard to wait) and pee first thing in the morning. See if the line is stronger.
I actually had no line with this pregnancy until almost a week later. Even when I got blood work done, it was barley a 50 hcg count after a week.
OHHH I AM PRAYING FOR YOU SOOOOOOO HARD!!!!!!
Anyway you can take a picture of your actual stick and let us judge it?

I would just use the dollar stick tests though and not waste your money on those expensive ones. JMO.
Basically, my nurse said the count doesn't change for 2-3 days, so I know it is hard to wait, but you may get the same result in the morning if you dont. kwim?
When I got my blood test done, they said that it was a 50 hcg and to come back in 3 days to see if the count goes up. UGH - it was sooo hard to wait!!!

Danalana replied: I'm just afraid it's an evaporation line. BUT the test did say 3 minutes, and i was maybe a few seconds past that when I looked. It says a positive will last 48 hours, but a negative should be read within 10 minutes.

I was told it only gets deluted if you drink a lot of water before testing, but your HCG hormone will still be there. That way you can rule out that being a faulty test.

Cece00 replied: They ARE very faint, BUT if it came up within a few minutes, I would say its positive. Why dont you go to have blood work done? You dont need an OB to do it, you can go to a GP for that.
Danalana replied: I called my GP's office, and today is the day he works a half day. I think I'm gonna call tomorrow and go get the blood work done. And the second one was definitely right on time...i saw it as soon as i looked in 3 minutes.

With my daughter, I took a test about 4 days before my period was due & it was positive. It wasnt that faint but it was pretty faint, and obviously, she's walking around on this earth, so faint tests can mean positive ones!

jem0622 replied: As long as you didn't wait until 10 minutes after to take the picture, then I would say there is a chance. These test have evaporation lines after 10 minutes, which can show a false positive.
ETA: Get with your regular physician for a blood test, and ask them to check your progesterone. If it is less than 25, then ask for a prescription.

Danalana replied: I just talked to my OB's nurse, and she said there's no reason to come for a while...*sigh* I would be just over 3 weeks, so she said we could schedule an appointment to come in and discuss my test results (from the hormone tests), and then I would b3 6 weeks. But my doctor probably won't do an ultrasound until 20 weeks! Unless there's some sort of problem. See, when i went in on friday and had the blood work, i wasn't pregnant yet...so there's no reason to think my dates could be wrong, thus no reason for an ultrasound. and she said the hcg test wouldn't help me much either. I guess i might know for sure when i go into labor

Not meaning that you arent pregnant, because I 100% think you are, but just to see if they are getting stronger as the days go by.

I will just caution you though that when I was waiting to get pregnant (think 4 years of trying) I would test and see a line-sometimes even my friends could see something in the right light but I came to realize that on some tests (even the high$$$ ones) once you pee on them you can see where the line 'should be' even when there is not one for real  I really hope for you that this is a positive test-I remember those days of hoping and praying AF would stay away!!!
With Tay I had a very faint line at the doctors office and then they couldn't even see her on a sono-they told me I had lost the baby again and since I wasn't bleeding I should go ahead and have a DNC-even after a blood test with low levels..I obviously did not listen-Praise God!- and you have seen the pics of my  miracle baby ...We did not see her on an ultrasound for 3 more weeks-I was just wayyy early in testing

Danalana replied: I called the OB I want to see from now on, and I have the first appointment on May 23. It's the orientation thing...blood work and paperwork (insurance, etc...), and then the first ultrasound June 12th.
But I have a question...is it normal to have some cramping when you're pregnant? Did anybody feel like they were going to start?

Now, I , on the other hand, DID actually make dh take a test, because I didn't believe that the line was really, well, a line! So after he took his test, there was no faint line.
Danalana replied: It's 5:30 a.m. I've been awake since 4:30, and finally decided to get out of bed. I'm pretty sure I'm about to go to wal-mart and get more pregnancy tests. My temp is still up. I know that I should just take comfort in the other positive tests...I don't know what my problem is. I do think I'm gonna throw my thermometer away, though, or at least stop keeping it in bed with me and monitoring bbt every morning. i don't think there's any reason to do that. I think I'm gonna get the same kind of test and see if the line is darker...i might get a digital one, too. If the line is darker, I think I will be satisfied. Or if I take a digital one and it says "pregnant".
jcc64 replied: Congratulations! I know when you want something soooo badly, it's hard to let yourself get excited. But it certainly seems like good news to me! To have positive results so early in your cycle is a great sign. And I agree with the others- I too felt like I was getting my period in the beginning- I even had a little bleeding along with the cramps, and I still went on to have a successful pg.
The best thing you can do for yourself is try to relax and stay calm. I'm crossing my fingers for you!!!

I knew it. With Izabella I took the test during my lunch break at work, then I went home early and on the way I bought 4 boxes! Within 2 days I had taken 10 tests just to make sure because we had been trying for 10 yrs and I couldn't believe it. I still have all of my tests And I remember that feeling when it was finally confirmed by my ob. It took hearing him say it for me to truly believe it.
Danalana replied: I went to wal-mart and got a package of 2 of the same kind i used yesterday, PLUS a package of 2 Clearblue Easy digital ones. Unfortunately, I am a dork. I got home and tried to use the regular one, but I think I only got one drop of pee on it I could not get it to go on the stick! Soooooo, I drank a little orange juice and ate some cereal...now I'm waiting to have to pee again. Next time, I am going to pee in a cup and do a dip test. It's hard to mess those up

Danalana replied: I almost didn't take the clear blue easy digital yet because the sensitivity isn't as low as the "Answer" test I was taking. I have a friend who took the digital along with a regular test...she tested early, as well, and the regular test (first response, I think) was positive. The digital was negative. WELL, I took the digital and it;s negative. I almost want to cry, but surely 3 tests aren't wrong. i will take the other one in a couple of days. I know i'm pregnant...my girls are hurting sooooo bad Gah, I just need some peace of mind. Maybe i will call and see if I can get a blood test.
hopefulmomtobe replied: I think you are right, I wouldn't worry too much over the digital one if it isnt that sensitive, some of them only registerer 100hcg or greater and like I said before, I was only registering 50hcg by blood test after I was a week late! So, hang in there...relax, let that baby take hold.

Oh, and the cool thing is that one of my friends started trying to conceive in August...we talked about getting pregnant together, or at least sort of. I talked to her on MSN this morning and she asked if I had started. I told her the news and she ssaid she tested positive yesterday too!! Except she was late when she tested. She has irregular, long cycles, so she wasn't sure how long she should wait. Anyway, it turns out that she is due January 8, and I am due January 21 How awesome is that? She lives in Missouri and I will be seeing her next month, but that's probably about the only time I will see her before the babies come.

He has a nephew (adopted) whom he adores, and he can't wait to have his own. he's gonna be a great father, though I fear not a very good disciplinarian

When I found out I was pg with Andrew the line was super faint too - Dh totally thought I was imagining it and I had to take it to my friends house to get her to confirm it for me. It was a couple days before AF was due - I'm sure if you took another test the day af is due or the next day it will be a lot darker!
Cramping is normal too - your uterus is just stretching to start growing with your baby! If you have cramping with bleeding call your OB though. I know how nerve wracking it is to be pregnant after a miscarriage. I got pg with Allie just 5 weeks after my m/c and I was scared to death! Just take it one day at a time - everything will be ok!

Bamamom replied: I didn't realize the clearblue's weren't as sensitive either - oops! You know a GP can give a pg test. My GP is a family friend so I always go to him before the OB anyway just cause I want him to be the one to tell me - for sure and for certain - that I'm preggos. And, at his office anyway, you don't need an appt. You just walk in and tell them you want the test.

Ok, please keep reassuring me that it's normal to feel like AF (or Fred, as I call it) is coming. I swear, my nerves are gonna get the best of me with this!

I think with your nerves about all this you could be imagining things that aren't really happening and making yourself more crazy....the body can do funny funny things - just try to relax and go with it....you have a long 9 months ahead of you with worry and fret so try to learn how to keep yourself relaxed...

Also, I have been reading online just how common it is to have cramping and/or feeling like AF is coming. That helps. Ok, I guess I'm leaving now...i'll be back later. I already made the appointments. I see him on May 23rd for the first pregnancy appointment thingy. I'll be 6 weeks then. My first ultrasound is June 12 I still can't believe it...this was the first month I ever tried the Mucinex

I am pretty calm now, just to update. I've resigned myself to the fact that it might just feel weird. After all, I've never had to produce another person in my body, so it's gonna be a little strange I'm so happy!

Danalana replied: The cool part is this is the first time i tried mucinex. I had read about it helping women get pregnant cause it thins out the cervical mucus and makes it more abundant....it really does! My pharmacist told me to try it and, low and behold, I am wiith child!

I take that alot. I don't want any more babys so please someone tell me if this is the same Mucinex.  If it is I need to stop one of two things....and I need my Mucinex so dh is sol.

Yeah it's the same mucinex. Are you on any type of birth control? If you are, I wouldn't worry. It just thins out the cervical mucous and makes it easier for the little swimmers to get by...from what I've read anyways. HTH

Danalana replied: I've been lucky with the nausea so far. I've only had one real time when I thought I was going to barf...but I didn't. I'm sure it will come, though. My mother didn't have it until 3 or 4 months with me, but then she had it the rest of the time. Poor mama.

A couple of times when I wiped yesterday, I had a brown color....like what I get right after my period. It even had a tinge of pink the second time. It was just a little of either and it's gone now.
I have a new thing too. I've been having twinges and a mild cramp here and there. This morning, I just feel a fullness in my lower abdomen....sort of like my period. It's not pain, just....full? Anybody?

Oh and about your last post call your doctor ANYTIME you feel unsure about anything. That's what they're for!!! They'll always reassure you so you don't have to stress out for nothing, I had the same thing and they told me just to take it easy for a day or so and make sure it didn't get worse.

Danalana replied: The discharge is fine....it really was just CM that was tinged brown. I called my doctor (the old one, cause I haven't seen the new one yet), and they told me it sounds normal. I feel pretty yucky today...mostly gas I know you all wanted to know. But really, it's like, trapped. And it's uncomfortable. But that's ok. I'm still so happy!
