MoonMama wrote: I know someone asked how much everyone spent on their kids for Easter. But what is actually going into those baskets? (sorry if someone already posted) And please no getting heated over the subject its just for fun.

Trust me, this child is spoiled!
TrulyBlessed replied: They just got a barbie doll and a little candy.
MoonMama replied:
I know most wont actually fit in the basket, so I'll just put it with it.
PrairieMom replied: wow. Ben got a hoppity hop and Al got a bubble machine. $30 total, after the chocolate bunnies and all that.
Cece00 replied: They are getting a bunch of candy...I dont really do toys for Easter, they get enough as it is. Plus my mom buys them toys & very little candy, so I do the candy. Easter just isnt a big deal to me, so I dont waste $$.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Roo's basket just has candy. When I was growing up that's what we got - Easter just isn't a present holiday to me. Sometimes we'd get a small non-candy item in our basket, like cool pencils or stickers or something. I was going to get something small to add to Andrew's candy but I didn't find anything in time. For our Easter egg hunt at my mom's next weekend, we are going to put some small toys in some of the eggs instead of candy so they don't get so much - like matchbox cars and bubbles and stuff.
Allie isn't getting an Easter basket this year - she's too little for all that candy and since we don't do presents she won't get anything. She's little enough that she won't care - she'll probably get a couple pieces of Roo's candy. I was feeding her M&M's today while the in-laws were here. This is Andrew's first year getting a basket- last year he just got candy from the Easter egg hunt.
kit_kats_mom replied: I kind of see the baskets as the spring gear holder plus candy.
K got a furberry that she's been coveting, a little doll, some bubble gum eggs, a chocolate bunny, undies, a video game for the xbox, purple peeps, beach shoes & a flashlight. She found her hula hoop hiding in the closet last week so I just let her have it then.
L got a bug collecting kit, Bee Movie, flashlight, undies, beach shoes, chocolate bunny, purple peeps, flashlight and gum. I had a beach bucket with sand toys for her too but since K found the hula hoop, I didn't need to give it to her. I stuck that in the House fairy box for later.
There are jelly beans, change, stickers, and old halloween candy in the plastic eggs. We hid 54 plastic eggs and 24 colored eggs that we made today. BTW, the cat is having a heyday batting these plastic eggs around.
anyone for egg salad tomorrow???
redchief replied: Junk food. Nothing else. Nothing nutritious at all. Mmmm... Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
My3LilMonkeys replied: They each got a furberry, a spring outfit, and some Hershey's kisses from here. They'll get more stuff from aunts & grandma later.
