Ok, so what is the Christmas "gift" this year - for the kids?
moped wrote: Jack is getting the Tony Hawk Skateboard game thingy for xbox and a remote controlled Tank, stockings etc.
Laila is getting the Fisher Price IXL and a box full of Zhu Zhu pet stuff
coasterqueen replied: Kylie is getting an iPod touch and Megan is getting the LeapFrog Itag. They are getting other things, but these are their "big gifts" this year. Kylie's was free and Megan's was pretty darn cheap!
mummy2girls replied: Jenna..Ipad Breanna ... grand walkin kitchen Thats it thsi year!
boyohboyohboy replied: Andrew is getting the little tag reader and stocking stuffers Jakob is getting the older tag reader and a few star wars figures he wanted Caleb is getting the star wars walker ship he asked for and stacking stufffers
I got an iPad! I haven't gotten a Christmas gift in 6 yrs
CantWait replied: Among other things, Robbie is getting a MacBook Pro, Anthony is getting an Mp3.
msoulz replied: Aren't you a little immature for an iPad??
MommyToAshley replied:
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, I know I said my kids didn't want a Wii, but they changed their minds!
So, they are getting a Wii with some games.
Maddie is getting another American Girl doll (seems to be the tradition around here now!)
And Ethan is getting a scooter.
Our anniversary/Christmas gift to each other is a new TV. Anniversary is on the 20th.
boyohboyohboy replied: LOL! Well hubby thought it might help me grow! Although he is concerned about the company I keep lately!
coasterqueen replied: Ooooh ooooh ooohhhh get the Wii Fit and Active if you can.
My girls LOVE LOVE Wii Active. They beg me to do it all the time. Their dcp is getting them the Nickelodeon Wii Fit game. I'm hoping it's a lot easier on me than the other is.
my2monkeyboys replied: Waylon isn't really getting a 'big' gift, but he is getting a table/chair set and some Thomas Train and Buzz Lightyear stuff, and a big NAPA 18-wheeler. Will is getting a .22 rifle, a pair of Healies, a motorized Erector set, and a ramp/rail set for his skateboard. Oh, and a bow/arrow set. They are getting a couple of 'together' gifts too, like a pack of Hot Wheels race track and some Stomp Rockets. A few stocking items. Almost forgot, I got them both a Sing-A-Ma-Jig for their stockings too! I LOVE those weird little guys!!!
PrairieMom replied: Ben got some starwars leggos, a kit where you can make 8 different things out of wood, and geeze, I have been done shopping for so long I don't remember the other thing...
Al got an ezbake oven, a skateboard type thing and ...huh, um... something else.
Charlie got some foam building blocks, and a ball pit, and balls to go into the ball pit, and a shape sorter.
I better go look under the tree and shake a few boxes until I remember what I got everyone.
DH and I aren't exchanging gifts this year, we took our share of the $ and started sponsoring a kid in Haiti, who by the way is SOOO CUTE! That makes my heart feel warmer than any gift could.
MommyToAshley replied: No clue... can't think of anything "big" for Ashley or DH. I was going to get DH Rock Band 3, but he bought it before Christmas, so Merry Christmas to him, that's his present. Ashley and I went to see the Nutcracker Ballet and had a girls night out, that was sort of her big present.
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Mackenzie's big gift is a DSi XL. Also got her some clothes, Zhu Zhu pets, Barbie Bug car, DS game and some other things I can't think of at the moment.
lisar replied: The big gift for the girls this year is a Wii. I got dh his dive license. Me, well I bought my own this year I got a bunch of stuff from bath and body works, I got 2 new pair of boots (cause they were on sale), and I got me some scensy stuff. The girls also got alot of other stuff, but nothing major.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Aiden is getting a Leapster Explorer. He is always wanting to play with Tanner's DS but he's not at a responsible age yet IMO for his own DS just yet. Tanner is getting a BB gun as he wants to start going deer hunting with daddy and G-pa in a few years so we want him to learn how to handle a gun properly before then. We also got the Wii as a family present. They are getting other things as well but those are their 'big' presents.
stella6979 replied: Avery loves the play kitchen at school so we decided that would be her "big gift" this year. But I am most excited for her to open the Go Go Walking Pup. She is obsessed and talks about that thing non stop.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I dropped a hint to DH about getting me the Wii fit....so we'll see. If not for Christmas, then for my birthday in April.
I did all of my Christmas shopping yesterday and today. My card was denied when I went to buy my baking stuff at the grocery store. I called my bank--they put a restriction on my card for unusual spending. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I said "It's Christmas time!!"
Anyway, I had them lift the restriction so I could finish my shopping!
coasterqueen replied: Well I guess it's good your bank is looking out for you!
And I hope you get the Wii Fit....and Wii Active It's a lot of fun and I bet your kids would join in with you. When I do the running parts of the Active, the girls love to chase me around giggling and laughing. It makes working out a lot more fun when I get to do it.
lisar replied: I love the wii fit, however I find that the just dance games give me a much better work out. I play them all the time at my sisters house. But now I will be able to play them at home. Oh and Zumba just came out with a dance/workout game for the wii.
coasterqueen replied: Yes, Just dance is great! I agree it's a harder work out for sure! Ha ha. If you get Zumba let me know how it is. We are getting the Just Dance ones for Christmas, but I didn't get Zumba yet.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Wait......is that the ones that 'poops' too (the go go pup)?
stella6979 replied: No, no, no!! I saw that one and there is no way! This one just comes with a leash and you can walk it
Boo&BugsMom replied: I was just curious is all. I just saw the commercial for it for the first time last week and about died laughing!
stella6979 replied: Ya, the thought of even a fake dog pooping and then eating it over and over again is too much for me. Where do people get these crazy ideas?!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Wait...it EATS IT???????????? Oh...my...goodness... How did I miss that?
MommyToAshley replied: LOL
stella6979 replied: Well yes. You feed it a fake bone, it poops it out, then you can feed it to it again.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Ok...I had other visuals going through my head!
stella6979 replied:
msoulz replied: LOL, I had the same thought - we all know that some dogs do enjoy snacking on their own ... but geez, to have a toy dog do that ?? Glad it's a bone and not that!!
moped replied: I am pretty glad my daughter has not discovered these yet!
Teasing, but I would like to see pics of it
Danalana replied: The boys are getting a Sit-N-Spin each, a table with multi-colored chairs, a Baby Einstein video, a Color Wonders Musical thingy (makes sounds when they color), and a wild safari tent, as well as the animals to go with it. I honestly just didn't know what to get for this age. Kade will be 3 in February and Carter is 17 months....just no idea and they aren't really big enough to ask for much of anything. I mean, I could take them to Toys-r-Us, and I am sure they could pick up some things I sure do hope they like it all. Oh, and we got them some clothes. They will get money, more clothes, and toys from other family.
